Hero builds are hardly complete with trinkets inDarkest Dungeon 2. Often, trinkets can completely transform a hero, turning weaknesses into extreme positives. Many of the best trinkets carry negative effects because their upside is so high that they need some kind of penalty to balance them out.

Generally speaking, these gambles are often worth the risk.Darkest Dungeon 2gives gamers some of the most challenging maps and bosses to fight against. Playing is safe is a good way to end up losing halfway through. These trinkets might have drawbacks but they can be instrumental to unlocking a character’s true power.
Each character has three unique trinkets. Because those will depend on whether the hero is used, they have been excluded from this list. These trinkets can be equipped on all characters and should work well for all squad compositions.

10Wounding Words
Getting ahold of a Stained trinketcan be a matter of chance but, after a certain point, it shouldn’t be impossible. If it weren’t for this requirement, this could be the best trinket in the entire game for a damage dealer on the backlines. The maximum health penalty is somewhat tough to handle but the tradeoff of an extra 50% damage will make the hero start one-shotting about everything they attack.
9Indelible Curing Cuppa
Some characters, such as withthe best Leper build, excel at applying Blight stacks. Even if they don’t naturally apply Blight, this gives attackers a moderate chance of doing so. In boss fights, it averages out so that Blight should be getting reapplied at about the time it would fall off for a permanent damage of time debuff. The extra resistance to Blight is perk but not extremely important.
8Indelible Anatomical Map
There is an off-chance of applying a positive token to the enemy which is never fun. But 90% of the time, players are going to be putting a random negative token on the opponent. This is another one of those trinkets that gets even better against boss fights, keeping the enemy perpetually debuffed. AsOrdainment grows in difficulty, trinkets such as the Indelible Anatomical Map are prepared for the long haul.
7Indelible Sparkleball
In a similar vein as the Indelible Anatomical Map, the Indelible Sparkleball has a frequent chance of applying negative tokens. This particular trinket is a bit safer as it does not have a chance to buff the enemy.

The downside is that some of the most negative tokens, such as Blind and Stun, aren’t in the pool. Even so, it’s a great trinket that will be regularly giving the enemy some kind of debuff to exploit.
6Indelible Corrupted Bile Gland
The obvious downside of the Indelible Corrupted Bile Gland is that the hero who gets hit will be taking on damage over time. Usingthe best Plague Doctor buildor an item to clear these debuffs is recommended. The upside of putting stacks of damage over time effects on the target is too good to pass up.
5Indelible Ghastly Gruel
Gamers that feel little bits of healing don’t make enough of a difference haven’t tested the most difficult trials of the game yet. Depending onthe best Restorative items in the gameis one way to go about it but this almost always involves chance. Something like Indelible Ghastly Gruel can keep the team topped off and make healing easier, allowing more room to deal vicious blows.
4Indelible Shimmering Crown
Healing to full and getting rid of virtually all stress stacks is a heck of a boost to get between fights. Holding onto 100 relics and baubles can feel like sitting on cash but it’s worth the offset. This sequel has made improvements since the first gameand treasures like this allow players to see how much one item can change an entire run.
3Indelible Celebrated Chalice
Unlike Indelible Shimmering Crown, Indelible Celebrated Chalice only requires hoarding half of the relics and baubles to function. The other difference between the two is less about survivability and more about output.

Going faster each turn and getting in more critical hits will shorten up fights. Never forget that offense is still the best kind of defense, so getting in more attacks is a surefire way to make it through a run in better shape.
2Indelible Clarifying Carcanet
Eventhe best Quirks in the gamelearn toward defense or offense, making players choose a role. The Indelible Clarifying Carcanet allows players to have both if they hold onto 75 relics and baubles. The amount of extra damage and health aren’t tiny bonuses, either, they add loads of output and defense to whoever gets to hold onto the trinket.
1Indelible Befuddling Sundial
Gaining one stress is not a big deal 10% of the time. The best Man-At-Arms buildcan handle this plus some. Healing 10% every turn is an incredible buff that a tank character will find turns them into a mountain. With the Indelible Befuddling Sundial, players have to work and find a way to lose or die.
