If you were to compare normal MMO character types with the three classes inDestiny 2, the Titan would likely be considered the tanks of the game. They live to provide shields to allies, punch foes in the face with ruthless aggression, and fire the heaviest weapons from alarmingly short distances.

This set of skills adds up to one of the most humorous classes in the game, with Titans having several inside jokes and other players loving to make fun of serious Titan players. From these jokes comes a huge variety of memes, comics, and artwork that perfectly illustrates the bizarre life that Titans live.

10Give Us Your Crayons

One of themost common memesyou’ll see among the Destiny community is the idea that Titans eat crayons, which most people will likely consider nonsense when they first hear it. The main premise is that Titans are all dumb hunks who eat crayons like children, since their abilities are all fairly violent and child-like compared to more sophisticated Warlocks and Hunters.

This is what inspires all sorts of memes, and that includes this art byListless_Dreadnaughton Reddit of a Solar Titan starving for crayons with a Ghost to do the talking for them. Few actual Titans are as blindly angry as this one, but it’s definitely an understandable joke if you spend enough time using your melee attack.

9Crayons With Class

Just like we mentioned earlier, not every Titan is inherently a crayon-eating child, and many Titan mains make memes to defend themselves from these accusations. One of these comes right to us fromiFunny, where a beautiful drawing of Marvel’s Thanos is being done entirely with Crayola crayons.

There’s no need to be too defensive, though, as Titans still get the job done with their child-like fury. There are tons of other memetic aspects of the Titan playstyle that are joked about, but the crayon obsession is absolutely one of the most common and controversial ones.

8The Fatherly Titan

The other role that Titans can often take are as fatherly leaders, being much larger in stature thanks to some thick armor and royal knightly designs. There are few more beautiful parental moments to replicate this than Thor telling the Hulk not to smash in Thor: Ragnorok, which artistKieran Quigleyhas perfectly recreated in his art style.

Whether Hunters truly want to just run in guns-blazing is harder to determine, since Titans are often seen as the more childish class, but there’s certainly a great value in seeing this Titan hold his allies back from a serious mistake. Their thick armor makes themeasy to recognize, so it’s only right for them to be giving the commands and keeping them safe.

7The One-Eyed Mask

Another arcane meme among the Destiny 2 fanbase are the many overpoweredTitan Exotics, which can have absurd effects to help them boost their often-weaker ability range in PVP modes. This especially includes the One-Eyed Mask, a powerful Exotic helmet that marks foes that strike you and lets you deal extra damage to them afterward.

This has famously been nerfed quite significantly, but it’s still an incredibly dominant force in the Crucible that nearly every great Titan has in their arsenal. If you don’t have one yet, it’s definitely worth grinding for, or hoping to see in Xur’s inventory sometime soon.

6Michelin Star Crayons

As one final ode to the crayon meme, there are tons of Titans who have embraced it as part of their character, and the adorably named Reddit userMrPandaOverlordhas shown this with his tag on the Destiny 2 Reddit page of Crayon Connoisseur, and a drawing of his Titan with maximum Intellect eating his crayons with grace.

Eating crayons doesn’t have to be a sign of childishness, or stupidy. For most Titans, it can simply a thing you do to kill time between punches, and a great midnight snack while you’re grinding strikes for an Exotic weapon.

5No Fun Allowed In The Titan Bubble

The Sentinel might not be the most glamorous subclass for Titans compared to the menacing Solar powers and the introductory Arc lightning blasts, but the shielding that Sentinels provide is unmatched by any other class. It’s so powerful an effect that it canruin certain matches of PVP, as a sudden bubble will just make any strategy worthless.

This is likely the inspiration for this post, as a Sentinel shield can truly mean the end of fun for any opponent wanting to shoot from a long-distance away. For the teammates hiding behind the Sentinel bubble, though, the fun is only just beginning.

4Close And Personal

Even though this particular post isn’t specific to Titans, their love of getting up close and using massive weapons is something that nearly every Titan can relate to. A solid shotgun can kill almost anything that isn’t a boss, whether it’s a random mob enemy or a sudden invader during a Gambit match.

That said, this can cause tons of trouble for players of theCrucible game mode, particularly the creator of this postTheNamewhoPostedThisfrom Reddit. It’s one thing to use a shotgun yourself, but when you get instantly killed in PVP from one that just gets too close to you, it can certainly feel defeating.

3Size Matters, At Least For Titans

Perhaps the simplest Titan meme you’ll see can also be one of the hardest to relate to if you don’t primarily play as a Titan. The heavy size of the armor is a huge appeal to this class, and as you combine the skinny pieces with thicker pieces you’ll find you don’t look anywhere as intimidating without a little extra bulk.

Since you’re meant to be a threatening tank, this will cause most Titans to relate to thicker armor, and it’s hard to argue with it when their stats often fit your strategy more than the Intellect-heavy thinner items. If you didn’t want bulk, then you likely should’ve gone as a Hunter or Warlock instead.

2Ruthless Aggression

Not every joke at the expense of a Titan’s chaotic violent nature has to involve Crayons. Takethis postfrom the Destiny 2 Memes page on Facebook, which explains that using melee punches is less a hobby for Titans and more just a way of life.

If you’re just starting your first Titan, or you haven’t figured out how to use one well, it’s heavily recommended that you just start punching everything that gets close to you. You can’t rely exclusively on your punchesto kill raid bossesand other players, but you’d be massively surprised how easy it is to finish off a big health bar with a solid left hook.

1What’s Yours Is Mine

Our last post is another great expression of how Titans want to do a little bit of everything, rather than just being physically-minded tanks. There are tons of different weapon builds in Destiny 2, and while Shotguns andHand Cannonsmight gravitate more towards Hunters, most Titans will want to claim a few for themselves.

This is surely what artistStalkingSenseiis riffing on with his amazingly detailed comic, where titan in their goofy One-Eyed Mask takes claim on a shotgun that clearly didn’t belong to them. So long as they use it right in their opponent’s face, though, a Titan should always feel free to use whatever they think will deal the most damage.
