Developer Remedy Entertainment has taken to social media to share the PC requirements forAlan Wake 2. Along with the minimum stated requirements for PC players, Remedy has also included recommended, ultra, and even ray tracing spec requirements at low, medium, and high settings for one ofthe most anticipated games of fall 2023.

The minimum stated requirements for 1080p / 30FPS gaming are an RTX 2060 / i5-7600K combo or AMD equivalents. 4K gaming will require at least an RTX 4070 with an RTX 4080 needed for the top-of-the-line 2060p experience with ray tracing. However, at least an RTX 30 series graphics card or AMD equivalent is required for a 1440p experience or even 1080p at 60FPS.

At first glance, the requirements appear to be a bit robust. The RTX 2060 / i5-7600K combo isn’t too far off from theupdated recommended requirements forBaldur’s Gate 3. However, that combo is listed as a minimum requirement forAlan Wake 2. An RTX 3060 is listed as the lowest recommended GPU with the RTX 3070 being required for any ray tracing.

Some gamers have already taken to the comments to express their displeasure surrounding the steeper requirements, but luckily, PC isn’t the only platformAlan Wake 2is available on. The game is also launching simultaneously on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, meaning this is certainly a current-gen experience. As the requirements show, high-fidelity cinematic gameplay certainly comes with some technical requirements on the PC side.

For those solely entrenched in the PC gaming ecosystem, the other good news is that somegreat CPU and GPU deals are going on right now. Prices of Intel Core i5 and i7 processors are coming down as are RTX 30 and even RTX 40 series graphics cards, as are many of the AMD equivalents.
