True enough, the leaks and rumors aboutHonkai: Star RailVersion 2.1 are also contributing to the hype. Although fans should still take the information with a grain of salt, there might be some exciting stuff awaiting them once the update rolls out.
What to Expect in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.1, According to Leaks and Rumors
Characters: Reruns and 4-Star Selector
Honkai: Star RailVersion 2.1 will reportedly have an exciting Warp banner roster with Acheron and Aventurine as the 5-star characters and Gallagher as the four-star. According to a number of leaks, the5-star character reruns for thisHonkai: Star Railupdate will be Fu Xuan and Topaz. This hasn’t been confirmed by HoYoverse as it usually waits until the Special Program stream to officially announce reruns.
Fire, Path of The Hunt
Honkai: Star Railis allegedly doing another 4-star character selector for Version 2.1for its anniversary event. According to leaks, the selector will let players choose between Gallagher, Misha, Guinaifen, Xueyi, Hanya, Luka, Lynx, or Yukong.

Additionally,Honkai: Star Railwill allegedly offer 20 free pulls in Version 2.1. This would be useful for players who are saving Special Passes and Stellar Jades to pull for their preferred 5-star characters.
Upcoming Main Story Boss
The first part of the Penacony arc sets the tone for the main story’s twists and turns. There’s a possibility thatAcheron might not be a Galaxy Rangerafter all, which might mean that some allies might become enemies.
One polarizing character is Aventurine, an IPC agent who treats the Trailblazer as his “friend,” but he also seems to have hidden motives. In Version 2.1,Aventurine is rumored to be an upcoming boss enemy inHonkai: Star Rail’s story. It’s still unknown how Aventurine’s supposed heel turn would affect the story in the next update.
New Light Cones
Along with the release of Acheron and Aventurine inHonkai: Star RailVersion 2.1 comes a new set of Light Cones to complement their abilities. According to a leak, there are threenew Light Cones coming toHonkai: Star Rail, namely Inherently Unjust Destiny (5-star Preservation), Along the Passing Shore (5-star Nihility), and Concert For Two (4-star Preservation).
Inherently Unjust Destiny is meant to complement Aventurine, a Preservation character, which increases the wearer’s DEF, as well as their CRIT DMG when an ally receives a shield. Concert For Two, which features a young Robin in the Light Cone artwork, could be a viable alternative for him, as it also increases the wearer’s DEF. Meanwhile, Along the Passing Shore complementsAcheron’s Nihility abilitiesas it increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG and inflicts Empty Bubbles that damage enemies over time.
Simulated Universe: New World and Planar Ornaments
The release of Penacony signals the possibility of a brand-new world in the Simulated Universe. Leaks suggest thatWorld 9 might be coming to the Simulated Universewith the new enemy boss, Something Unto Death. There will also be new Planar Ornaments called Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation and Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm.
Quality of Life Features
There are a number of leaks that revealed rumoredquality of life features coming toHonkai: Star RailVersion 2.1. One is the most requested “Claim All” feature for assignment rewards. Another leak revealed a feature that would allow players to switch between material rarity/tier and synthesis with one click. It’s still possible for these features to be delayed until a future update.
