Twitchstreamer and content creator Amouranth has the perfect response when someone said she might have to get a “real job” on Twitter. Amouranth, for the uninitiated, is one of the world’s top-performingTwitchstreamers. Currently the most-watched female Twitch streamer, Amouranth has amassed a fortune thanks to her content creation ventures as well as investments that she’s made with her earnings. The nature of Amouranth’s content attracts a lot of negative attention, however, leading to some criticism online.
Amouranth criticsoften have a problem with how she makes money online, criticizing her work as not being a “real job.” One such critic recently took to Twitter to throw shade at Amouranth in a now-deleted tweet. According to Dexerto, they told Amouranth that her looks will eventually “hit a wall” and she will no longer be able to use her appearance to make money online, though with more vulgar word choice. They suggested that Amouranth “might have to get a real job” when that happens.

Amouranth responded by pointing out that she could be worth $100 million by the time she hits 40 by making certain investments with her vast wealth. “Keep your real job, it suits you better,” she said. Amouranth’s clapback was met with an enthusiastic response, with many supporters posting reaction memes like a Hulk Hogan mic drop,Chris Evanslaughing, etc.
While Amouranth won’t be retiring from content creation any time soon, she has offered fans some insight into her retirement plans in the past.Amouranth has said that she plans on streaming and making contentuntil it doesn’t make sense anymore for her to do so, like when her passive income overtakes what she makes from work. She already has enough money saved to never have to work again if she doesn’t want to, but she has expressed interest in opening an animal shelter that would not have to rely on outside donations to stay operational. Obviously, continuing to actively stream and make money from her other online ventures will put her in the best position to do that.
One thing that may put a wrench in Amouranth’s Twitch streaming career before she retires herself is a potential ban.Amouranth has been banned from Twitch multiple times, but none of the bans have ever stuck. There’s always the possibility that the next ban is permanent, but Amouranth may be too big of a star for Twitch to lose her.
