A recent leak shows a highly revered weapon in action. This is the Fanatic pistol, which is an energy-based weapon. If released as a playable weapon soon, it could be another addition tofantastic Season 12 weapons. The leak comes from a Reddit user Pretty_Chard5030 who has been a reliable source forApex Legendsin the past. However, the leak doesn’t reveal too much information about the weapon. The only confirmed aspect about the pistol is its interaction with enemies and related mechanics.
The short clip doesn’t actually show what the upcoming weapon looks like. Instead, the RE-45 automatic pistol’s placeholder is used for the Fanatic pistol, which suggests Respawn is still unsure about the final design. Furthermore, the video reveals the weapon’s mechanics and how it works in the dynamic open-world to defeat enemies. The clip shows a distinct blue glow each time the pistol is fired, implying the weapon is being charged. There’s also a bar directly above the weapon, which probably indicates the number of charges or ammo left.
However, fans shouldn’t get too excited about the rumored Fanatic pistol. Respawn is known for taking some time to test weapons that take awhile to see real in-game action. Whether the Fanatic lives up to the hype when it becomes available as a playable weapon is a matter of debate.
