Battlefield 2042’sbig reveal today has come after a lot of speculation, rumors,a very brief teaser for the game, and excitement from fans. The sixth main installment in the series will be launching this fall with a release date of October 22nd, which is less than six months away. Despite the game’s lack of a single-player campaign, it looks like there will be a lot of content for players to get into.

So far two core game modes have been confirmed forBattlefield 2042,Conquest and Breakthrough, and are others sure to be added in the future. One new game mode will be given some time in the spotlight at EA Play on July 22nd, a little over a month away. While there is not much info out on this new mode right now it does sound like hardcoreBattlefieldfans will enjoy it.

Battlefield 2042 Price

Base versions ofBattlefield 2042have been confirmed to have a price point of $59.99 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Battlefield 2042 Next-Gen vs Past-Gen

The price increase forPlayStation 5and Xbox Series X/S games looks like it is here to stay but there are some major differences betweenBattlefield 2042on the older generation of consoles and the new one. While PS4 and Xbox One will still have the game’s impressive maps and some pretty big 64-player lobbies, the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S versions will boast both larger map and 128-player lobby sizes.

On PC and the new generation of consoles, the maps will have some seriously massive scale, which is saying a lot considering theBattlefieldfranchise’s history with dynamic multiplayer maps. Those players that get the game on either PC or next-gen consoles they will be able to play with double the players on even large maps than otherBattlefieldgames.

It has been a long wait and there is still more to come out aboutBattlefield 2042but with how little time there is between today’s reveal and the release these next few months will be packed. The next week will be even more exciting as more info comes out about the game andE3 2021kicks into full gear. Hopefully, today is only a taste of what this weekend will bring for the gaming community.
