Gameloft’s magical life sim,Disney Dreamlight Valley, has finally come out of early access. It was fully released on June 02, 2025, alongside its highly-anticipated DLC,A Rift In Time. A Rift In Time is the first paid Expansion Pass for this adventure game and contains much more content than any of the previously available Dream Bundles.
A Rift In Time considerably doubles the size of the base game by adding in a whole new world, separate from the Valley. It features new biomes, new resources,and new characterswhile introducing a new interactive story campaign that comprises several chapters. It’s safe to say that A Rift In Timehas completely revampedDisney Dreamlight Valleyand paved the way for more game content in the coming years. A Rift In Timehas gone all out and brought new cosmetics forclothing, furniture, and other itemstoDisney Dreamlight Valley.
These all-new items are added toScrooge’s store in the Plaza, where players can purchase them in exchange for gold coins. The decorations and furniture items are based on the classic themes of the distinct regions of Eternity Isle.

So Many Ingredients And Cooking Recipes To Go With Them
As they discover the new island, players can find tons of newcrops to grow and gather. They can even learn new recipes to cook. A Rift In Timeincludes all-new exotic fruits such asCosmic FigsandStrawberriesand everyone’s favorite vegetable,Beans. The Expansion Pass also adds a ton of delicious new meals that players can cook.
Many of these recipes are inspired by the real world, such asBiryani,Latkes, andPoutine. Even recipes from Disney films, such asEncanto’s Arepas, have made their way toDisney Dreamlight Valley, thanks to the new DLC. A Rift In Timealso brings a new variety of Fish for players to catch and Seafood recipes for them to try.

A Rift In Time brings three newcute and cuddly critters, namelyCapybaras,Monkeys, andCobrasto the game. Similar to the base game, all of these critters come in a variety of colors and types. Players can collect them all as they explore Eternity Isle.

A Rift In Time introducesAncient Machines, which are magical tools built with ancient technology. Players can craft Ancient Machines to ease their everyday adventures. These help with tasks like watering the garden, cooking, and more, and they can significantly improve one’s quality of life.
6New Biomes
Three New Magical Locations To Explore
A Rift In Time unlocks a new magical island for players to explore: The Eternity Isle. It comes with three distinct areas, namely theAncient’s Landing, theGlittering Dunes, and theWild Tangle. Each of these biomes has a unique theme.
Ancient’s Landing is a run-down port town located to the south of Eternity Isle that was once home to a thriving civilization. Glittering Dunes is a traditional desert located on the west side of the Isle. The landscape is scattered with lots of cacti and rocky formations. On the east side of the island is a lush green jungle, known as the Wild Tangle.
5Multiplayer Mode
Invite A Friend To The Valley
A Rift In Timebrings a much-requested feature toDisney Dreamlight Valley:Multiplayer Mode. Fans of the game have been patiently waiting to play this magical sim with their friends.
Thanks to the new co-op feature, players can invite up tofour friendsto the Valley. They can meet up in the village and spend time with each other and their favorite Disney characters.

A Rift In Timehas added a fun new feature toDisney Dreamlight Valley –Scramblecoin. It is a unique board game that can be played with the villagers. By playing this mini-game, players can strengthen theirfriendships with the townsfolk.
Scramblecoin features different game pieces, each with its own abilities. Players can discover these pieces or craft them from scratch as they progress through the DLC.
3The Hourglass
A New Royal Tool That Repairs Time Rifts
Disney Dreamlight Valley:A Rift In Time brings a new tool to expand the Royal Toolbox calledThe Hourglass. It is believed that the Royal Hourglass was created by an ancient civilization and is currently being guarded by EVE.
This magical tool is capable of restoring broken portions of land that have been damaged due to Jafar’s tampering, uncovering hidden treasures and perhaps even crafting new objects.
2New Disney Characters
New Residents Have Joined The Valley
With three new locations come new Disney friends. The fan-favoriteRapunzelis making her way to happily enjoy singing in the Wild Tangle, whileGastonis trapped somewhere far away in the Glittering Dunes.EVE, the protective robot fromWALL-E, can be found defending the Royal Hourglass inthe Ancient’s Landing. Players will have to try hard to convince her that they’re not a threat.
Additionally,Jafar, the evil villain from Aladdin, is up to his mischievous ways and has caused problems with the fabric of time. He is the main antagonist in A Rift of Time,and the player needs to strive hard to clean up his mess. These new characters have the freedom to move to their homes in the main Valley or stay in the Eternity Isle.

A New Magical Area With Hidden Secrets
A Rift of Time invites players to visit the magicalEternity Isle, a new area that is entirely separate from the Valley inDisney Dreamlight Valley. This long-forgotten island is considered to be roughly the same size as the original valley, meaning that there’s a lot more for players to explore.
The Eternity Isle is split into three distinct biomes, as mentioned above, each of which has a unique theme. The island is said to contain numerous hidden secrets, waiting to be discovered by those brave enough to set foot on it.
