As Aloy traverses the Burning Shores, she’ll need new weapons to match the dangerous machines that prowl its lava fields and ferocious seas. TheHorizon Forbidden Westexpansion introducesnine new Legendary weapons in its DLC, which become essential to Aloy’s arsenal against the Far Zenith antagonist Walter Londra and the Quen that have pledged loyalty to him.

By the time players come to the end of the expansion’s story, they’ll have amassed a powerful arsenal that will aid in further exploration or another New Game+ playthrough. But acquiring these weapons can be a little harder than inHorizon Forbidden West, as players will need quite a lot of Brimstone and Shards to trade with the hunter at Fleet’s End. While there are nine to choose from, there are only a few that stand out among the rest.

1Specter Gauntlet

Aloy was constantly bombarded by otherworldly weapons inHorizon Forbidden Westcourtesy of the Far Zeniths. But in Burning Shores, Aloy can return the fire. The Specter Gauntlet is a modified version of a powerful Zenith arm-mounted cannon that place designators on targets with two ammo types – explosive shards and a shocking railgun that can fire pierced charged shots.

The Specter Gauntlet can only be obtained by completing the Main Quest “The Stars In Their Eyes.” Once Aloy defeats a Quen marine loyal to Walter Londra called Zeth, who is in possession of the weapon, she takes it into her own hands. Aloy can later upgrade the Specter Gauntlet during the “In His Wake” Side Quest, which involves killing another Quen for the Railgun component of his weapon.
