Summary

TheWhite MageofFinal Fantasy 14is a direct upgrade of the Conjurer Class and serves as one of the four healing Jobs in the game, making them one of the most valuable members of a fighting unit. White Mages are considered pure healers, which means much of their toolkit is focused on juggling various forms of healing to aid their more combat-compatible allies. However, just because a White Mage specializes in healing doesn’t mean they should go to combat in style. Thanks to Relic Weapons, a White Mage can get an armament appropriate for their growing power.

When White Mages reach Level 50, they’re able to embark on quests and unlock Relic Weapons that suit their stature. Depending on certain requirements, they can upgrade these Relic Weapons, forming them into weapons with new names and appearances that also boast stat upgrades. With the right Relic Weapon, a White Mage can dramatically change their appearance and performance.

Keeping in line with thenaming convention of rare weapons in theFinal Fantasygameis theNirvana Zeta, named after the recurring name of the strongest White Mage weapon in most franchise titles. While its overall stats can use some tweaking, its customizable substats on top of the additional Direct Hit Rate can help diversify the White Mage’s combat prowess in raids. However, where the Nirvana Zeta can strike the interest of fans would be in its overall appearance.

Compared to its seraph-like predecessor, Thyrus, with a blue orb and four wings on the backdrop of a white-gold scheme, the Nirvana Zeta is more regal in appearance. While still boasting a similar angelic design and color scheme, the Nirvana Zeta is more prominently gold than white. Moreover, its central orb has three gold plumes that shoot upwards, ending with yellow feather-like energy projections. The central green orb is also accompanied by red gems dangling on the side of the rod.

While the White Mage inFinal Fantasygameplay is often associated with divinity, theCane of the White Tsarthat White Mages can acquire as Relic Weapons in theirFinal Fantasy 14gameplay boasts a more regal appearance. Although its middling Mind and Vitality base offerings leave much to be desired, its overall aesthetic makes it a worthy acquisition even for players who are used to not playingcombat Jobs.

At its core, the cane boasts primarily a white base with a reddish handle, with one end of the staff comprised of a pointed shard and the other an elegantly curved tip with wing-like protrusions. White-gold details sprout out of this top base and swirl down to the cane’s mid-point, while the edge of its winged top has short spiked edges. At the center of the curved top part is a red gem, while opposite its place is a green orb mounted just behind the cane.

Consistent with theWhite Mage’s association with all things holyis theSindri Lux, providing a much-needed sleek representation of the Job’s prowess in the healing arts without being too extravagant. Stats-wise, the much-needed substats customization allows the White Mage to become a versatile combatant throughout the game’s encounters. However, where it shines as a Relic Weapon is its uncomplicated appearance - a design style it shares with its lower tiers.

Compared to its statue-heavy and surreal-designed predecessors within the Anima Relic Weapons family, Sindri Lux is surprisingly uncomplicated. The weapon boasts a slim cane that ends with a slightly decorated base topped with an oval gem. When the Relic Weapon is activated, the gem glows a bright green before covering it with a Caduceus-esque projection, with wings on the side and a pair of swirling lines intersecting at the base.

When one thinks of healers in aFinal Fantasygame, the result is usually the imagery of the White Mage tapping into the divine for much-needed healing. However, theAymur Pagos +1inFinal Fantasy 14gameplaydiversifies the White Mage aesthetic by adding a much-needed nature element to their designs. Stats-wise, the Aymur Pagos +1 adding Piety and Spell Speed base stat bonuses give White Mages more flexibility in their combat performance, making the acquisition of this weapon worthwhile even for collectors.

In terms of appearance, the Aymur Pagos +1 boasts a strong nature-esque aesthetic, with the cane itself seemingly formed out of a piece of white wood. Its base, middle, and top segments have plumes of blue-purple feathers tied to them, with the staff glowing a calm blue hue when activated.

TheWhite Mage being a beacon of hope in theFinal FantasyMMOis consistent with their slate of weapons, with theHydatos Canegiving the impression of the White Mage being more of a religious official than a mere adventurer. The cane itself boasts decent Mind and Vitality base boosts to help the White Mage further specialize in their combat healing, with extra customizable substats to diversify their overall gameplay.

Appearance-wise, the Hydatos Cane has an undecorated slim base that ends on the base of a statue. This statue forms much of the cane’s stop, with the figure resembling an armless angel with wings on its back, as though it’s flying upwards. Above it is an ornamental plate with a central gem, with the entire top of the cane glowing when the rod is activated.

A healer like theWhite Mage inFinal Fantasy 14has an air of humility about them. After all, they don’t need to boast how skillful they are in healing - they just do it for the party’s survival. While a high-level White Mage will likely have an extravagant staff with them, theRose Couverte Physeosmaintains their more modest nature. Although its Mind and Vitality base bonuses are a peg lower than the following Blade’s tier, the Rose Couverte Physeos is a collector’s item for its overall appearance.

Compared to its traditionally cane-like Antiquated and more gloriously holy Elemental counterparts, the Rose Couverte Physeos is minimalist. At its core, the weapon comprises a symmetrically swirling golden staff with a pointed base and a crystal top. When activated, the crystal glows a bright yellow light with accompanying tendrils of holy energy, making the simple staff seem empowered by the heavens themselves.

Keeping in line with the trend of theWhite Mage being the pinnacle of holiness in theFinal FantasyMMO’s gameplay, its selection of Relic Weapons within the Blade’s line embodies their connection with the divine. Stats-wise, theAugmented Law’s Order Caneboasts decent boosts to Mind and Vitality which, when combined with its customizable substats, can enhance the White Mage’s overall builds. However, it’s its appearance that makes it a decent addition to a player’s arsenal.

The Augmented Law’s Order Cane retains its signature white base that extends to a top portion shaped like a masquerade mask that somehow pays tribute to the Job’s iconic staff-on-face pose. This mask then crosses over to the top before unfurling into a fan-shaped crown with runes etched on the side. Placed over the mask and the fan is a bust-esque appearance of a four-horned deity with a chest area shaped like a bird unfurling its wings.

Beingthe pinnacle of healing Jobsin an MMO likeFinal Fantasy 14, it makes sense for the White Mage to possess a weapon worthy of demonstrating this power aesthetically. This is somethingBlade’s Mercyfulfills, and makes for a rather decent combination of its initial Resistance and Law’s Order upgrade tiers. On top of its customizable substats that provide the White Mage with much-needed stat versatility, its above-average Magic Damage and base Mind and Vitality bonuses make it a worthwhile acquisition for players.

Collection-wise, the weapon is a decent representative of the White Mage Job. Its base appearance is that of a white staff that twirls around at the top, ending with branch-like protrusions that give the weapon a sculpted feel. When activated, blue crystals emanate from the center like clock arrows, while a blue energy vein swirls downwards to the base.

Determination

When it comes to choosing a weaponto complement gameplay in an MMO likeFinal Fantasy 14where aesthetics matter, an armament’s looks may matter just as much as the Job it belongs to. Such is the task fulfilled by theAmazing Manderville Cane, with its hefty additions to Critical Hit and Determination also making it a dependable higher-tier weapon stats-wise.

Following the trend of heavenly-looking weapons, the Amazing Manderville Cane seems straight out of a divine sculpture. Similar to its base counterpart, the Amazing Manderville Cane has a white base with a middle point that has a cloth-like tail that swirls upwards to the top of the staff. Both the base of the tip and the spire of the staff have glowing jade shards, with the top of the staff having a pair of wing-like protrusions that swirl to cover its crystals.

Serving as the epitome ofensuring the party’s survival, the gameplay of the White Mage inFinal Fantasy 14demonstrates just how important a healer is to an MMO. Thanks to theMajestic Manderville Wand, the White Mage represents their connection to the divine. Boasting decent Mind and Vitality bonuses with customizable substats, the Majestic Manderville Wand set is a must-have for White Mage fans.

As with other weapons in the Manderville series, the Majestic Manderville Wand has a stark change in appearance compared to its counterparts. While the base Manderville and Amazing Manderville stages have a pronounced wing-like aesthetic that extends from the base and covers a central crystal, the Majestic Manderville has a more symmetrical appearance. This time around, a more decorated base extends to a wavy ornamental top piece that meets at the center, with a glowing orb floating at the center.
