Genius Invokation TCG is an in-game strategy minigame inGenshin Impactthat is played by many NPCs and playable characters, including archons, in the world of Teyvat. While it has been available for players since patch 3.3, the 3.7 update ofGenshin Impacthas introduced a new set of challenges and a wide range of new cards, aiming to bring more strategy and variety to the strong decks in the game. As a result, some of these cards have already started changing the meta of the TCG, thanks to the unique and powerful benefits they provide to the team’s combos.

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Venti Skills

While many players were excited for other content in the patch, such as the addition of anew character named Kirara, fans of the TCG were also treated to new playable character cards, including the four archons from the existing regions of Teyvat. Among them, Venti joins the roster, bringing aunique and distinct set of abilities. Interestingly, Venti’s TCG set does not entirely mirror his playstyle inGenshin Impact, especially considering the differences in crowd control mechanics in the Genius Invokation TCG. However, players can still expect a dynamic gameplay experience, particularly in teams that heavily rely on quick swaps.

Venti Card & Skills

Venti’s Character and Talent cards are easily accessible to any players who have unlocked the TCG. This is because the requirements to obtain them do not differ from those in previous patches, despite the wide variety of cards added. Players can simply use a Match Invitation Letter to invite Venti to duel and complete each objective to obtain him and his talent cards. Obtaining Venti’s card also does not have any Duelist level requirements like some othercharacters such as Cynodoes.

Venti’s Talent Card: Embrace of Winds

Venti’s Talent Card focuses on his Elemental Skill and, once utilized, allows Venti’s next attack to consume one less unaligned dice. This means Venti becomes even more convenient for dice management, as his Elemental Skill also enables players to switch between characters freely as long as the Stormzone is active. It allows Venti to potentially activate his burst in the first round if players have been fortunate with their dice rolls.

By activating his Elemental Skill and performing a Normal Attack to gain 2 energy, Venti can still have enough dice to activate his burst. Additionally, players can switch to the next character without consuming a die, giving them a strong advantage in the second round and allowing them to perform their combos effectively. As such, it is highly recommended to add Venti’s Talent Card to the action card roster.

Best Venti Decks

Considering that Venti is a support character, he can fit into most decks, especially for players looking to frequently disrupt their opponent’s combos while dealing significant damage. He particularly excels in quick swap decks, as players can take advantage of the special effect of his elemental skill, which makes the swaps cost-free. Additionally, if the deck includes another Anemo character, players can benefit from the Elemental Resonance: Impetuous Winds card, which turns character swaps into fast actions. This makes characters like Jean or Xiao suitable options to consider alongside Venti, depending on the other character players are interested in utilizing. Generally, starting the combo with Venti allows forbetter dice management. Therefore, it is recommended to do this for most of his team compositions.

Venti + Xiao + Shenhe

This team composition is relatively simple to combo while also having high damage potential. This is because not only can Venti’s summon disrupt opponents' combos and provide additional Swirl damage, but also Shenhe’s summon can boost the power of both Venti and Xiao as it specifically states that it can boost Cryo-infused Swirl reactions. Therefore, after using Venti’s skill, players should swap to Shenhe to ensure her Icy Quill is available. This will guarantee that the Swirls infused with Cryo will deal an additional 1 DMG. Additionally, applying Cryo to characters can be particularly helpful against commonly used character cards like Kokomi or Xingqiu, as they may Freeze themselves upon using their skills which apply Hydro to themselves, further disrupting opponents' combos.

Venti + Ayaka + Ayato

Players who are interested in a stall deck and utilizing the Freeze reaction with the Kamisato siblings will greatly enjoy this character combination. Venti’s presence enhances the effectiveness of swapping between these characters, and his swirls allow for the frequent application of Hydro or Cryo without the need for frequent character swaps.

By consistently freezing the enemy and forcing them to swap with each swirl, as well as when Venti’s burst is activated, it can create significant annoyance for the opposing team. However, it is recommended that players include a dice management card such as A Thousand Floating Dreams, as two Inazuma characters are present in the deck.

Venti + Raiden Shogun + Nahida

Another viable deck for those who want a full Archon deck is to combine Venti with Raiden Shogun and Nahida. While Raiden Shogun typically helps Venti quickly access his burst, in this case, starting with Venti may be more advantageous due to easier dice management. After using Venti’s burst, players can swap to Raiden Shogun to activate her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst before swapping to Nahida. With this combination, not only will it be easier totrigger elemental reactions frequentlydue to Venti’s Electro-infused swirl spreading the application to all enemies, but the team will also consistently activate bursts thanks to Raiden Shogun’s ability, which grants full energy to Nahida and Venti for their bursts.

Venti, being a support character, doesn’t necessarily require any additional cards on his own to enhance his utility, apart from his highly recommended Talent Card. This allows players to concentrate on boosting the strength of other characters throughWeapon and Artifact equipment cards. However, in any team composition featuring Venti, it is highly advised for players to give considerable attention tofood cards for HPand dice management cards such as Timmie, Varanara, or The Bestest Travel Companion, as they will provide the most value.

Fortunately, players who utilize Venti can easily omit cards that reduce the dice cost of character swapping, namely Changing Shifts or Dawn Winery. However, if players don’t have two Anemo characters in their deck, utilizing cards that enable characters to be swapped as a Fast Action, such as Leave it to Me! or Katheryne, can still provide significant value to ensure optimal and efficient character quick swaps.
