The world ofBlack Cloveris dominated by magic users or mages that use the life force called Mana and channel it into different forms of magic. There areplenty of unique forms of magiclike World Tree Magic used by William Vangeance, Dark Magic used by Yami Sukehiro, Light Magic used by Licht, etc. However, among such unique forms of magic that dominate the world rises an anti-magic power that can nullify any form of magic. This is currently just one person who possesses this anti-magic power, and that is an orphan from the lower class of the Clover Kingdom who goes by the name Asta.
Asta does not have any magic in him at all he wants to becomethe magic emperor or wizard kingto prove that anyone from any class or background can become the magic emperor with dedication and hard work. He and his dream were subject to almost everyone’s rejection until he was chosen by a five-leaf black clover grimoire that gave him the anti-magic power. Asta uses this spectacular power with the help of four demon swords that he has gathered throughout his adventures. Each of these four swords is fascinating and extremely powerful when combined with Asta’s physical strength, andthe power of the devilsealed in his grimoire that now possesses Asta.

Demon Slayer Sword
Asta got the Demon Slayer sword after he received his four-leaf black clover grimoire as it was sealed within the grimoire. This magnificent sword is one of the three powerful swords wielded by the leader of Elves, Licht. Demon Slayer sword is a big-sizedsword that resembles Guts' Dragon Slayer swordfrom the anime and manga franchiseBerserk. It can nullify or cancel out any form of magic be it of low or high tier.
Asta first used it wielded and used it against the chain magic user Revchi Salik who tried to steal his best friend and biggest rival Yuno’s five-leaf grimoire. In this fight, Revchi beat up Asta real bad as the latter could not defend himself against Revchi’s chain magic until he brought out the Demon Slayer sword from his black grimoire and put Revchi to rest after a slash from the sword.
Demon Slayer sword is what helped him in his initial adventures asa magic knight of the Black Bull squad. He still uses it, and it still proves to be a great weapon for him as evident from the fact that he defeated Zagred, a Kotodama or Word Soul devil who was the mastermind behind the genocide of the Elves.
Demon-Dweller Sword
The Demon-Dweller sword was the second sword that Asta received which he was able to use as a channel for his anti-magic power.This sword also originally belonged to Lichtand was found by Asta in the dungeon where he and Yuno fought Diamond Kingdom’s previously evil Shining General, Mars. The Demon-Dweller sword can borrow any form of magic from the magic users by absorbing it, and the borrowed magic can be thrown as an offensive attack toward the enemy. Asta has not been able to achieve this sword’s full potential as it can be a great weapon when fighting an enemy who has a long-range fighting style. Licht showed the Demon-Dweller sword’s power when he attacked Zagred with it. Asta is bound to master this sword and use it to its full potential sometime in the future and when he does soit would be a great sight to behold.
Demon Destroyer Sword
This sword is also one of the three weapons originally used by Licht. It is a sword with a rather unique shaped wide edge and can be summoned out of the black grimoire when it’s open just like the other two three swords. It has a special ability called Causality Break with which it can absorb and remove any magic spell and its effects. It does so with a mechanism that severs the cause-and-effect relationship. Asta used this sword to turn everyone whose bodies got possessed by the spirits of the Elves back to normal.
Demon Slasher Sword
Asta got this sword or more specifically this katana as a necessity of the condition when he and hisBlack Bull captain Yami Sukehirowere fighting the leader of the Dark Triad, Dante Zogratis. With the mix of devil powers that he got from the devil Lucifero and his magic power, Dante can regenerate at a very high speed making him immune to even the most powerful of attacks. However, after acquiring powers from his devil by sacrificing his right hand to him all Asta needed to do was to deliver a blow on Dante’s body with his swords in under fifty seconds. ButDante got a hint of Asta’s strategyand defended himself against Asta’s swords by throwing away all three of the latter’s swords one by one.
When only a few seconds were left before Asta’s body would stop moving, Yami lent his katana to Asta, and it got plagued with Asta’s anti-magic power. Afterward,Asta delivered a fatal cut on Dante’s bodyresulting in the latter’s defeat. After this, the katana like the rest of Asta’s three swords took a dirt-encrusted form and became sealed as a spell in his black grimoire. Asta named it the Demon Slasher sword in honor of his captain Yami Sukehiro.
These four demon swords each have unique abilities and are phenomenal in their own right as they are currently the only weapons that can channel the power of anti-magic giving Asta a way to use this power. These wouldsurely help him become the mage emperoror wizard king one day in the future ofBlack Clover.
