SeasonedCall of Dutyplayers will have no problem getting intoCall of Duty Mobile. Most, if not all of the game’s content has been pulled from the franchise’s past console and PC releases. This includes maps, classes, game modes, and weapons. However, newcomers to the franchise, for whomCOD Mobileis the first encounter with the series, may feel slightly overwhelmed and intimidated by the sheer amount of different weapons and playstyles available in Activision and Tencent’s hit mobile game.

In most competitive shooters, beginners feel most comfortable using SMGs and assault rifles as they get used to the pace and mechanics of the game.Call of Duty Mobileis not an exception to this rule. Assault rifles and SMGs are the most “rookie-friendly” guns in this title, and using them early on will surely help new players get used to the game without getting absolutely obliterated in their first few matches.
10M4
As one of the most common weapons in the game, the M4 is not going to raise any eyebrows, but it’s still a very reliable choice forCOD: Mobilenewcomers. The M4 is a deadlyassault riflethat is unlocked at level 2, so almost right out of the gate.
One of the biggest advantages of the M4, even for some of the more experienced players, is its base accuracy, which sits at an impressive 80. The high accuracy combined with 70-rated mobility results in one of the best assault rifles forCOD: Mobileplayers whose playstyles require them to be constantly on the move.

9Type 25
A lot ofCODenthusiasts would say that Type 25 is a poor weapon to start with, but with certain attachments and the right approach, it can prove to be one of the deadliest rifles accessible to new players.
With its incredibly fast fire rate and quick base reload time, it’s one of the handiest assault rifles inCall of Duty: Mobile.Players who decide to pick it up as their primary weapon should be wary of Type 25’s high recoil, which may be detrimental at the medium range. Installing mobility attachments onto it should turn that rifle into a deadly close-range weapon, perfect foraction-packed deathmatcheson some of the smaller maps.

8QQ9
The QQ9’s base stats are fairly impressive, especially when it comes to mobility (102) and fire rate (82). This SMG works best at close to medium range. Given its mind-boggling mobility, this weapon should suit anybody who enjoys the “run-and-gun” playstyle the most. 40-rated accuracy is the biggest issueCODfans have with the QQ9, but it’s nothing that a few attachments can’t fix.

OWC Laser Tactical and the Strike Foregrip are two of the most crucial pieces of equipment to use with the QQ9. They’ll greatly improve the accuracy of this fast, mobile gun, bumping it just over the 50-point mark.
7BK57
The BK57 can be unlocked at player level 34, so after a good couple of hours of gameplay. It’s an assault rifle that’s very much worth at least a trial run, as it has very balanced stats, and is one of the best rifles in the game as far as control is concerned (69 control rating).
M4 users will find the BK57 to be the ideal replacement for that rifle since it pretty much improves upon every shortcoming of the M4 (except the base accuracy, but that can easily be tweaked with attachments).

6AK47
The AK isn’t only one of the best guns forCOD: Mobilebeginners. It is also probably one of the most-featured assault rifles in all of gaming. There is a good reason for it, too: this fully automatic assault rifle is one of the deadliest weapons ever designed, and it’s reflected in itsCOD: Mobilestats.
Rated at 33, the AK47’s damage rating is amongst the highest in the entire game. The sky-high damage rating is somewhat nerfed by very high recoil, which makes it fairly difficult to hit enemy targets with consistency. Players who choose the AK as their primary weapon shouldfocus on attachmentsthat will reduce recoil as much as possible.

5ASM10
Despite its low mobility, the ASM10 is one of the most versatile assault rifles in all ofCall of Duty Mobile.Players can use it at long range, but also get up close and personal with their targets while wielding the ASM10. It is probably not the most convenient gun forrunning around the map and picking out enemies, but it definitely can get the job done.

Attaching a Tactical Foregrip and some Granulated Grip Tape to the ASM10 will significantly raise its mobility so that the rifle is as effective at close and medium range, as it is over long distances.
4HVK-30
While it looks more like an SMG at first glance, the HVK-30 is a full-blown assault rifle. Due to its small size, it is very mobile (76). Its fire rate is also very fast (71). It’s the ultimate run-and-gun weapon, and a very accurate one, at that. Players who aren’t as comfortable exposing themselves to enemy fire will be happy to learn that the HVK-30 is effective at medium to long-range, too.
When it comes to the best attachments for the HVK-30 inCOD: Mobile, players should prioritize increasing damage with the help of Large Caliber Ammo, for example. The rest of this assault rifle’s stats are rated well above 50, not leaving much space for improvements.

3MX-9
TheMX-9 is a fantastic SMG, with one of the highest mobility ratings in the entire game (96), as well as a staggering fire rate (86) and some of the highest damage (30) out of all SMGs in COD: Mobile.

Players can expect this weapon to perform for them right away, but tweaking it with certain damage-improving attachments, such as the Large Caliber Ammo or MIP Extended Light Barrel, will turn it into an unstoppable force, capable of destroying anything that crosses its path in a matter of milliseconds.
2MSMC
Damage and fire rate are certainly the MSMC’s strongest suites. At close range, it is arguably even better than MX-9 when it comes to time-to-kill. Its biggest shortcoming, however, is the low base accuracy, rated at 37. Even with attachments, it is difficult to bring it up without heavily nerfing this gun’s main strengths.
On the other hand, it is an SMG, meaning that it should serve close-range purposes first and foremost. Players who are not interested in this type of playstylewill probably choose other weapons, anyway.

1Man-O-War
The Man-O-War’s range (56) is its greatest strength. It works great as a close to a medium-range weapon, and even better at long range. For such a large assault rifle, its 69-rated mobility is also a tremendous advantage, especially whencomparing the Man-O-War to other weaponsin its class.
In order to truly turn it into a death machine, players might want to equip it with accuracy-enhancing attachments, such as the OWC Laser-Tactical and the Tactical Foregrip A, bringing the accuracy score all the way up to an 85.
