After releasing a string of live-action trailers with celebrities, Activision has finally released the first gameplay trailer forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. TheCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2gameplay trailerfocuses primarily on the game’s campaign, showing fans glimpses of some of the missions that they will be going on with Task Force 141. Shortly after releasing the trailer, Activision also confirmed the different versions ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2fans can buy, including a special Vault Edition.
TheCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2Vault Editioncosts $109.99 and comes with the cross-gen bundle, the Red Team 141 Operator Pack, the FJX Cinder First-Ever Weapon Vault, the Season 1 Battle Pass and 50 tier skips, open beta early access, and the Ghost Legacy Pack that comes with 10 weapon blueprints and 12 Operator skins for immediate use in the 2019Modern Warfaregame and the current version of theCall of Duty: Warzonebattle royale.

Those who are only interested in checking out theCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2open beta early should note that they don’t have to buy the Vault Edition to do so. Pre-ordering any version ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2will entitle consumers to open beta early access. Specific dates for theCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2open beta have not been announced at the time of this writing, but more information should come to light in the months leading up to release.
TheCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2release dateis scheduled for October 28, at which point players will be able to jump in and check out the new campaign, multiplayer, and Spec Ops co-op mode. Activision has really only shown off theCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2campaign so far, but with the game’s release date mere months away, fans can expect details on its other modes and features to be revealed sooner rather than later.
As usual, though, the early days ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s marketing push will focus primarily on the campaign. There are rumblings thatCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2has a new mode called DMZthat takes inspiration fromEscape from Tarkov, but it has yet to be mentioned in any of the announcements. It will be interesting to see if there’s any truth to those rumors, and luckily, fans shouldn’t have to wait all that much longer to find out one way or another.
