Call of Duty: Vanguardreceived its first post-launch map just a few days ago, as Shipment has released ahead of Season 1. However, while many are enjoying the latest take on the classic location, a fewCall of Duty: Vanguardplayers are suggesting improvements.
Call of Duty: Vanguard’s take on Shipmentis a bit different from the other versions of the map that have been seen in the past. LikeCall of Duty: Modern Warfare2019, the layout has been adjusted slightly, even if most of the map plays the same as longtime fans would expect. More emphasis has been placed on upper-level crates, with these now featuring destructible walls. As such, players can make a small hole in the wooden barrier and use the cover to their advantage until they are taken out.

However, while the newCall of Duty: Vanguardmapmaintains the hectic fun of the ones that inspired it due to its small scale and random spawns, there are still a few issues that players want Sledgehammer Games to fix. Redditor krazzybam made a post asking what other players thought of the map in its current state, and while they are positive on it overall, their suggestions are certainly understandable.
TheCall of Duty: Vanguardplayerfocuses primarily on the kill counts for Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed. Currently, matches ask players for 75 kills in TDM and 65 points in Kill Confirmed to get a win, though this is incredibly low for Shipment. With these current numbers, matches in these modes are lasting 1/3 of the time that they normally do, as the kill and tag count requirements do not compensate for the small size of Shipment. According to krazzybam, these numbers should be upped to 200 kills and 150 tags, while spawns could also use some work.
In the comments, most players back up their fellow Redditor’s argument, with kamikaze123456 pointing out that “TDM is like a 2 minute match” in Shipment due to how quickly 75 kills can be racked up. Other commenters, like kinggu3455, suggest a change for theCall of Duty: VanguardkillstreakMortar Barrage. In its current form, it makes massive piles of dirt fly up from the ground when it lands, which ruins visibility completely on a tiny map like Shipment. Some want a counter to the perk Piercing Vision, as bullet penetration is very common on Shipment, meaning that gamers can get a wallhack-like effect whenever they want.
As of now, it remains to be seen if Sledgehammer Games will listen to theseCall of Duty: Vanguardsuggestionsand make some adjustments. While many are already having fun with the chaotic mess that is Shipment, these changes could make the experience even better.
Call of Duty: Vanguardis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
