A Reddit user called Bred5037 made a post on the CODWarzone subreddit sharing a recent experience while playingWarzone 2on Ashika Island that surprised many players. The Reddit post shows how theWarzone 2player shoots at an enemy player in close range without getting any hit markers or indications that they are doing damage to the enemy. After emptying their primary weapon, the player decides to switch to their secondary, and after firing close to twenty bullets, the enemy turns around and kills them quickly. The player stays on target for most of the gunfight, but they only get a couple of hit markers from the dozens of bullets he fires. Sadly,Warzone 2got more than a new gulagthis season. Now players must stay aware of their server latency before their next gunfights.
Across the short video clip, theWarzone 2players' server latency goes from 2ms to 60ms in a couple of seconds in the middle of the gunfight, prompting players in the comment section to attribute this issue to a faulty server latency reading by the game. The Reddit post has gathered some attention from the members of the CODWarzone subreddit, some of them have shared similar experiences, and some believe the player was facing a cheater. Luckily for theCall of Dutycommunity,Warzone 2season 3 came with anti-cheat updates, so facing hackers should occur less in this new season.
