The Crusader Class in Diablo Immortal - Strengths
Diablo Immortalboasts six playable characters at launch. The Crusader plays as an archetypal tank classwith the ability to deal huge amounts of damage via area-of-effect (AoE) attacks, all while possessing a large health pool. Being a melee-oriented class with a ridable mount, the Crusader has an additional edge over others in that it has the fastest movement.
On top of their high potential to deal AoE damage, Crusaders are useful members of a party in that they are able to apply an array of buffs to their allies, such as boosting the chance of party-wide critical hits for a short duration. With high-mobility, huge damage potential, team utility, and comprehensive defenses, the Crusader class is a fantastic choice for players wanting to be deeply involved in a team dynamic, possibly as the team’s leader.

The Crusader Class in Diablo Immortal - Weaknesses
Despite attractive gameplay prospects that the Crusader class provides, it has its fair share of weaknesses. With many of the Crusader’s abilities being lengthy and wide-spread, they are susceptible to stuns and have cooldown times that are longer than most other abilities in the game. This can lead to a significant amount of vulnerability for Crusaders, who may find themselves on consecutive cooldowns in the heat of battle, greatly weakening their potential offense and defense.
Crusader characters are also ill-equipped to face single enemies, with the aforementioned AoE damage that they specialize in typically being used to deal with multiple enemies. This can make the Crusader less viable against more powerful individual entities, which thedungeons ofDiablo Immortalprovide.
Another overt downside to the Crusader class comes from the superior mobility that it provides. Due to this high mobility, the Crusader class is effectively the scout of the party, reaching situations before anyone else. However, this can see the Crusader wander too far into the unknown and in harm’s way, forcing unnecessary cooldowns. While the Crusader is aviable class withinDiablo Immortal, it’s clear there is a significant amount of strategy and nuance needed in terms of managing abilities and knowing when to engage, which can lead to the wider party either suffering or benefiting significantly.
