Everything Coming with Halo Infinite Season 5

Halo InfiniteSeason 5 may be the most content-rich Season to date, and it all starts with the refined and reworked Battle Pass. InHalo InfiniteSeason 5, the usual 100-tier Battle Pass will be swapped for a reduced 50-tier Battle Pass. Though the rewards are fewer, 343 promises that they’re of a much higher quality, and from what fans have seen so far that seems to be true, with this Season’s Battle Pass giving fans an array of Flood-themed cosmetics andMaster Chief’sHalo Infinitearmor. Players will also be able to earn 1000 Halo Credits over the course of the Battle Pass, which in turn can be used to buy the next Season’s.

The nextHalo InfiniteSeason is also tweaking how free Battle Pass tiers work. Previously, players without the Premium Battle Pass would have to still rank up the entire 100-tier pass in order to earn all of the free items. In Season 5,Halo Infinite’s Battle Passwill now contain 20 free tiers from the get-go, allowing players to unlock those rewards as soon as possible, and then choose to upgrade to earn the remaining 30 tiers.

On top of that,Halo InfiniteSeason 5 will see two new events pop up. Now named Operations, these limited-time events will take place in November and December respectively, and will allow players to unlock unique cosmetic rewards over a lengthier period of 4-to-6 weeks. Season 5 is also introducing the ability to use any helmet with any armor core, finally allowing players to mix and match various styles of Spartan armor.

Two new game modes are coming toHalo Infinitewith its Season 5 update, both of which are returning fan-favorite modes from previousHaloentries. The first of these modes is Extraction.Originally seen inHalo 4, Extraction sees players defend an objective until it’s extracted, and then repeat the process across different sites on the map.Halo InfiniteSeason 5 will also be adding Firefight King of the Hill, which apparently won’t come to the game until about halfway through the Season.

A total of two new maps are also coming toHalo Infinitein its Season 5 update. Named Forbidden and Prism, these two maps are completely new to the franchise, having never been in aHalogame before. While Forbidden is a fairly traditional symmetrical map, Prism is a little more experimental, taking place in the mines where the Needler’s explosive ammo is harvested, and letting players shoot deposits that act as environmental hazards. The final big additionHalo InfiniteSeason 5 is set to pack is the long-awaitedAI toolkit for Forge, which will let players drop both AI enemies and allies onto the battlefield.

Halo Infiniteis available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
