Cyberpunk 2077is a pretty large game with a lot to explore in Night City, so for those players who want to give V the chance to relax for a hot minute, a new mod allows the protagonist to sit just about anywhere. With thePhantom LibertyDLC due out soon, developer CD Projekt Red is keeping on top of its once controversial sci-fi RPG. It may have had a very shaky launch back in the tail end of 2020, but the game has come on in leaps and bounds since.
Now that the title has turned its reputation around, thestudio announced aCyberpunk 2077sequellast year, showing that CDPR has a lot of faith in this universe. Once the major updates began to roll out forCyberpunk, fans could finally get to grips with the game. With its dystopian vibe, deep storyline, and bevy of side quests and NPCs, a lot of life has been breathed into Night City. But while the vanilla experience is substantial enough and the developer is continuing to fix issues, the modding community is equally hard at work bringing its own content to the open-world release.

Take Nexus Mods user keanuWheeze as an example. Recently, they uploaded a new mod forCyberpunk 2077called “Sit Anywhere.” Essentially, when the player decides V should have a little rest, this modification will allow them to take a load off just about anywhere across the city. According to the description, this includes benches, chairs, couches, and “everything that resembles those.” It works through the Scan feature, in which the player simply scans a “suitable surface” to see if the option to sit becomes available. However, bar chairs are not yet included. Whether this will be added in a future update cannot be said at this stage.
As immense as the standard game is, players know the value that comes from modders. Whether it’s tweaking the experience somewhat, such asmakingCyberpunk 2077’s Night City way more dangerousor implementing drinking animations or adding in brand-new areas, there are plenty of ways to enhance gameplay that go beyond what the developer envisioned.
Taking someinspiration from the dystopian sci-fi movieBlade Runner,Cyberpunk 2077is certainly not without its dark and gritty edginess. It may have started out as a barely playable release for some, especially for those on previous generation consoles, but most would agree that the game is deserving of its current praise. Here’s hoping that CD Projekt Red has learned from past mistakes when it comes to the sequel.
Cyberpunk 2077is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
