The Deathslinger’s Perks include Gearhead, Dead Man’s Switch, and Hex: Retribution. Gearhead highlights generators that are in the process of being repaired, whereas Dead Man’s Switch revolves around the new killer’s hook. Players can hook the survivor they become “obsessed” with, and for the next 35 seconds, any generator that survivors stop repairing will be blocked until the effect ends.

The Deathslinger’s Hex: Retribution will also prove useful to players. With it, whenever a survive cleanses a Dull Totem, they will be hit with the Oblivious status effect for 35 seconds. If the survivors cleanse any Hex Totem, then every survivor in the game will be revealed toThe Deathslingerfor a 10 second period.

In the right hands, it seems like The Deathslinger can be hugely effective inDead by Daylight. Considering this, it’s possible that Behaviour Interactive will change things up before theDead by Daylightnew killer is added to the full game. After all, Behaviour has consistently supported the game, releasingnewDead by Daylightupdateson a regular basis, and that includes balance patches.

Looking ahead, it’s likely that there will be moreDead by Daylightbalance updates in the future, not to mention more substantial DLC like the Chapter 15: Chains of Hate update. It’s possible some of this new content will be based on existing horror franchises, like we saw with theStranger ThingsDLC, but that remains to be seen.

In the meantime, here is the full rundown of theDead by Daylightnew killer Deathslinger’s perks:

-While activated, any survivor that stops repairing a generator before it is fully repaired causes The Entity to block the generator until Dead Man’s Switch’s effect ends.

-Affected generators are highlighted by a white aura.

-The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

Hex: Retribution
