This new paid expansion will be known as “The Queen and The Sea,” and it will add a lot of newweapons toDead Cells, along with two new late-game biome areas. The Steam page promises explorable sunken shipwrecks and a lighthouse. A new boss fight is being promised as well, presumably against the titular antagonist of this expansion, the Queen depicted in the trailer. It also shows off three other antagonistic underlings of the Queen, each with their own set of weapons. A new ending will be unlocked upon the completion of this latestDead CellsDLC.

The video description and tweet notes that this expansion will be concluding the current trilogy of paidDead CellsDLC with the other entries being The Bad Seed andFatal Falls, the latter being released earlier this year. These three expansions all take place outside of the castle walls of the game, and the latest will be completing the Beheaded’s journey in these areas.

The newDead Cellsexpansion will be coming in early-2022 with a price of $4.99 and will be released on both consoles and PC. The video description notes that the sales of the DLC will allow the developers to continue producing free updates toDead Cells, and allow them to implement as many of their ideas as they can. The Twitter account also clarifies that this will be the final DLC of this trilogy, but that this doesn’t mean that the developers are finished with producing more DLC in the future.
