10His Stealth Is Unmatched By Demons
He quickly infiltrated the Swordsmithvillage, despite it being one of the Demon Slayer Corps' most essential bases, and is heavily guarded, without any Demon Slayer noticing. He snuck into Muichiro and Tanjiro’s room without both of them sensing him.
Despite Muichiro being able to feel demons from extreme distances and Tanjiro having a sharp sense of smell that can easily pick up the foul scent the demons ooze, only after he got close to attacking them did they realize he was an Upper-Rank Demon.
9He Believes He’s Innocent
Despite the crimes he has committedas a human and a demon, he has deluded himself into thinking he is innocent and would come up with any excuse to convince himself of that.
He even went as far as blaming his hands for the crimes committed rather than himself. He believes people tell lies against him and resent them for punishing and persecuting him for crimes he perceives himself to be innocent of and for constantly trying to bully and take advantage of his weak self.

He has had so many identities throughout the years that he does not seem to remember his real name, age, and background. He has lived so many different lives; the only constants were his murderous and narcissistic tendencies which dictated his decisions.
He had married and had children several times. Though they did not last, whenever he is accused of dishonesty or committing crimes, he would feel betrayed and mistreated and would kill his wives and children in anger.

He continued the trend of marrying, having children, and killing them till he was captured and sentenced to death for his numerous crimes. While he was imprisoned, Muzan appeared to him and offered to help him, and turned him into a demon. After becoming a demon, he escapes and pledges his life to the service of Muzan.
6He Can Create Clones With His Blood Demon Art
An extended feature of Hantengu’s blood demon art is the manifestation of his strongest emotions as younger-looking clones of himself with separate, distinct consciousness, personalities, and abilities. Hantengu is capable of manipulating his clones as he likes, but he usually lets them act autonomously.
The power is activated when his head is severed off; his body and head grow entire bodies and develop into two separate clones; those two can also sproutinto two separate clonesif their heads are severed off. They’re said to be at their strongest when there are four of them.

After activating his blood demon art, his clones are invulnerable. They will regenerate infinitely as long as Hantengu’s main body remains intact, although their regeneration speed was shown to be slowed down significantly after their tongue was cut off. This fact made it a daunting task for demon slayers to defeat the almost indomitable Upper Moon demon.
The demon slayers werethrust into a deadly game of catand mouse where they were trying to find the real body of Hantengu while being hunted by his seemingly immortal clones.
3He Was Killed By Kamado Tanjiro
After searching endlessly for his main body under the pressure of death by his clones, the four primary clones joined together to bring forth a new form. After Tanjiro beheads him using Hinokami Kaguya, it still turns out that was not his actual body because Zohakuten’s headless body was still on the run.

With the sun rising, Tanjiro pursues the body and finally locates it, unknowingly using the power ofthe demon slayer mark called thetransparent world to visualize the inner workings of Hantengu’s body, allowing him to discover the location of his real body inside his heart, and slashes it.
2He Uses Multiple Weapons
Hantengu, like all other demons, can manipulate his body to an extent and, like all otherUpper Twelve Moon Demons, employ weapons made out of his body parts. Because he has clones with different abilities and personalities, some of them use various weapons and have mastery over them.
Sekido, the manifestation of his anger, uses a khakkhara staff; Karaku, the manifestation of his relaxation, uses an Uchiwa fan; and Aizetsu, the manifestation of his sorrow, uses a Jumonji staff.
1His Clones Have Different Abilities
His clones all have blood demon arts unique to them, and the clones that possess weapons use them to greatly enhance their arts. Sekido can use his khakkhara staff to generate lightning over a vast area and can paralyze opponents Karaku can generate powerful gusts of winds using his Uchiwa fan, strong enough to blow apart buildings and deal huge damage to his surroundings.
Aizetsu can use his spear to send thrusting attacks through the air over long distances. Urogi can generate powerful screams strong enough to make Tanjiro bleed from his orifices. Zohakuten can manipulate wood by tapping one of the drums on his back. He mainly uses it to make wooden dragons. When in combination with the other clones, his dragons can use the powers of the other clones.
