Demon Slayeris a series that features a never-ending conflict between demons and humans that has been going on for multiple centuries. Within the anime, there are a collection of battles in which both sides have employed powerful techniques to gain the upper hand. While the demon slayers who represent the humansmake use of Breathing Styles, powerful demons employ their special abilities called Blood Demon Arts.
Blood Demon Arts are signature techniques exclusive to demons that can be used once they reach a certain level of strength. They are strong enough to turn the tide of crucial battles and, most times, serve as a demon’s trump card. Over the course of the series, strong demons with equally powerful Demon Arts have been introduced, and this list features those thatstand out as the strongest.
Updated on August 02, 2025, by Emedo Destiny:The Blood Demon Art Techniques are no more than a cherry on top of an already impressive power system in the series. Typically, the Blood Demon Art Techniques are specialized supernatural abilities primarily available to only higher-level demons in the series. Usually, they could take different forms, be necessitated by various reasons, as seen with Nezuko, and most importantly, for demons, they are essentially complementary abilities that are created in addition to the already vicious demonic powers granted by Muzan. While most of the powerful Demon Arts in the series are used for combat, not all are suited for battle. However, that they are not combat-oriented does not make them any less powerful than they actually are. Therefore, below is an update on more powerful Blood Demon Arts not yet discussed.
19Blindfold - Yushiro
Blindfold is Yushiro’s Blood Demon Art, which allows one to do either of two things; masking or revealing the presence of a thing or person. By creating paper talismans, Yushiro can disguise or enhance the presence of anything he sticks his paper talismans onto. After undergoing significant training, Yushiro can use Blindfold to link the visions of two people to increase their combat efficiencies, as he does withObanai and his pet snakeKaburamaru.
As the series nears its conclusion, Yushiro evolves his Blood Demon Arts to be capable of Mind Control, which allows him to put a person under hypnosis and control their mind and vision, and possibly their Demon Arts, if the target is a demon. He does this successfully with Nakime.
18Hiasobi Temari - Susamaru
Susamaru’s Blood Demon Art, the Hiasobi Temari, allows her to conjure handballs at will. Typically, these balls are very durable to the point where a single hit is enough to kill a regular person, as shown by her battle against Tanjiro.
The techniques work well when combined with Yahaba’s Kotestsu Arrows, as when combined, both techniques go up a level in terms of efficiency, accuracy, and lethality, making the pair quite dangerous. With the technique, Susamura is capable of various attack patterns like the piercing kick, spinning throw, spiraling shot, and sixfold Temari, making her even more dangerous.
17Vampiric Trees - Genya Shinazugawa
Genya’s Vampiric Trees are a bit unique, even among the demons, as Genya is not a demon, but between not being able to useany breathing stylesand an unnatural ability to gain demonic characteristics from consuming the flesh of demons, Genya acquires his Blood Demon Art from consuming a part of Kokushibo’s flesh sword.
Vampiric Trees is formed out of his double-barreled shotgun, which fires flesh cartridges that he can control remotely. Once the bullets are implanted into his opponent, they grow into huge trees rooted in the ground, in turn trapping the opponent. Not only does it trap its target but also absorbs their blood, preventing them from using their Blood Demon Art.
16Koketsu Arrow – Yahaba
Yahaba can manifest red arrows that seem to be invisible by blinking the eyes that are located on his palms. He can manifest as many as he wants and can move them in any direction he pleases.
With his arrows, he has shown to be able to control the vectors of his desired target and carry them in any direction, enabling him to slam people into theground at vicious speeds. The Blood Demon Art can prove to be a big obstacle for demon slayers to overcome since the arrows are intangible.
15Drum Spell - Kyogai
The Drum Spell is where Kyogai gets the title of Drum Demon.Unlike other demons, Kyogai’s Drum Spell works in connection with his mansion and cannot be used outside of it. The technique is created out of having six Tsuzumi Drums emebedded in different parts of his body, with each drum having a different effect on his mansion.
The drum in the right shoulder causes the room he is in to rotate to the right; the left shoulder drum causes the room to rotate to the left; the drum in his right leg causes the room to rotate forward; the drum in the left leg causes the room to rotate backward, while the navel drum causes a slash attack and the back drum teleports him or other people to a different room in the mansion. While Kyogai’s range is limited, the effectiveness of his technique within the range makes the ability quite the headache.
14Electrokinesis – Kaigaku
The Blood Demon Art of the New Upper Moon Six is perfectly in sync with the breathing style he employed while he was a demon slayer. It gives him the ability of electrokinesis and allows him to conjure and control lightning from his body. The lightning generated is stronger than Sekido’s and can burn the skin of its victims.
When combined with the five forms of thunder breathing, it greatly augments it and increases his range and hit speed, making him the strongest user of thunder breathing, and even the swift Zenitsu had a hard time keeping up with him.
13Infinity Castle – Nakime
An unorthodox blood demon art manifested by the unorthodox demon, Nakime, the only demon with one eye, takes the shape of a dimension that contains a seemingly unending castle with infinite rooms and variety which Muzan uses as his base of operation.
Inspired by the human life she lived as a biwa player, she can manipulate and alter the space by strumming on her biwa. She can further attach herself to the infinity castle to give her easier control. Nakime can create portals to move people and objects within and outside the castle.
12Pyrokinesis – Nezuko
As the main deuteragonist of this show, it’s only fitting that she has one of the most powerful blood demon art techniques. She can make her blood combust into bright pinkish flames, and unlike the rest, hers is harmless against humans and other objects and can only be used to hurt demons or things that contain demon blood; this was shown when her flames affected Genya, who eats demons even though he is a human.
Her flames have also been shown to deterthe regeneration of demons, as Daki’s burn wounds did not heal quickly in comparison to the other wounds that were inflicted on her.
11Blood Bewitchment – Tamayo
Tamayo’s Blood Demon Art is more suited to her pharmaceutical skills. She cuts through her skin, draws her blood, and uses the scent released to influence the state of her victims. She can createillusions and induce hallucinationsthat affect the eyesight of her target by surrounding them with flower patterns.
She can also imitate the effects of truth serum, making her targets more agreeable and gullible by decreasing their brain functions, making them unable to tell lies and keep secrets, as shown when she uses it to manipulate Susamaru to say Muzan’s name out loud.
Tanjiro’s battle with Ruiserved as the first direct confrontation with a demon where the young demon slayer genuinely felt his life was at risk. This was greatly due to the strength of Rui’s Blood Demon Art, Thread Manipulation.
As the name implies, this Demon Art allows Rui to manipulate powerful threads capable of easily dismembering ordinary human beings. They are also powerful enough to break Nichirin Swords, weapons crafted specifically to counter demons. Furthermore, by infusing the threads with his blood, Rui is able to significantly increase its power, making it strong enough to overwhelm Tanjiro’s Constant Flux.
