Summary
Bungie is all set to make some significant changes to the PvP sandbox ofDestiny 2, alongside a plethora of other tweaks to abilities, weapons, and more. While theDestiny 2update is still a few weeks away, the developers have given a comprehensive overview of what fans can expect from it, as the game prepares for the release of Into The Light in April.
The Final Shapeexpansion for Destiny 2 is right around the corner, and the developers have been actively making incremental changes to gear up for it. For instance, the7.3.4.2 update forDestiny 2which was released a while back made some striking changes to the Chivalric Fire legendary sword, Stormcaller Warlocks, and Riven’s Wishes activity. Now, with the release of its upcoming update, the developers are shifting their focus to the Crucible sandbox.

In a newblog post, Bungie has revealed that its next update, which is due to arrive on March 5th, will focus on some pressingDestiny 2PvP issuesthat have been affecting both veterans and newcomers in the game. The developers have divided the issues into three major umbrellas, with the first one being the ambiguity around the cause of deaths in the game. Another aspect highlighted is that the increasing skill level of the community has made the high-reward low-risk options in the game unbalanced. Adding on to that, Bungie also wants to push players for mastery of primary weapons.
Bungie Set To Address Pressing Crucible Issues In Next Destiny 2 Update
Bungie is making a series of changes to address these issues, starting with the increase in health in base Crucible by 30 HP alongside penalties to ability cooldowns. While melee and grenade damage has been tweaked to account for the health increase, the changes to primary weapons are quite noteworthy. The critical hit damage of primary weapons has been increased, while theflinch dealt by Hand Cannons has been reduced.
Special Ammo economy has been a point of debate in the community for quite a long time now, and it seems an overhaul is on the way with the introduction of anew Special Ammo meter system. Instead of getting two kills worth of Special Ammo for every respawn, players will now get the same amount for collecting 100 points in the meter. The points can be accumulated in a variety of ways, such as kills, assists, control zone capture, and so on. Last but not least, special, heavy, and exotic weapons have also been tweaked to align with the rest of the changes. Here are the complete Crucible changes slated to arrive in the update.
