The week many players have been waiting for finally took place as the community rallied together and finished off the final step of the Empryean Foundation challenge. Not only did this unlock the final triumph needed for many players to unlock the Savior title, but it alsoconfirmed the return of Trials of Osiris next season. That excitement was unfortunately short lived as Bungie also confirmed that the seasonal artifact would be enabled inside of this highly competitive mode.

Naturally, community driven sites like theDestiny 2subReddit exploded with concerns, negativity, andfeedback on why this was a terrible idea. The level of discussion seems to have made an impact however as Bungie quickly backtracked its decision and will be disabling the artifact altogether. The main argument against the artifact is that it removes the element of player skill when XP can be farmed and grinded for by those who have more time on their hands than others.

For now, there’s only a couple weeks left to wrap up things in Season of Dawn. Today,Destiny 2’sroving merchant Xur is back inside of the game world for a limited time with a new set of exotics for purchase. Follow this guide for his location as well as a review of what he’s currently selling for the weekend of June 02, 2025.

Where is Xur?

Players can find the exotic merchant hanging out in his usual spot at The Tower for the weekend of Feb 28.

As usual, fast travel to the main Tower location and head left into the Hangar. Once there, take another left and move past the Dead Orbit section to find a metal staircase. Move up the stairs to find Xur on a platform overlooking the mountain range off in the distance.

Class Armor

Keep in mind thatthe Armor 2.0 updatehas caused Xur’s items each week to mirror the rolls players get from pulling these items from their own Collections. As it stands, players should likely hold on to their shards if they already own the following items. Players can use the Fated Engram to pull something a little different if nothing in his inventory is appealing this week, including newer exotic items.

Here are Xur’s three gear pieces this weekend:

Eye of Another World - Warlock helm

It’s been quite a while since its last appearance, but Warlocks can pick up the Eye of Another World exotics this weekend. Through the Cerebral Uplink perk, the helm highlights priority targets while also improving the regeneration speed of the grenade, melee, and Rift abilities.

For players who don’t have this item, it’s a decent option for PvE or PvP. When using mods that target regeneration rates, this exotic can help players get their abilities much faster than normal. It’s not a must have item, but it can be a decent choice. It’s worth noting that this item doesn’t actually provide wall hacks like the Nightstalker Hunter gets, only visible enemy targets are highlighted in red.

Void Enhanced. Stat Values:

Aeon Swift - Hunter gauntlets

Seriously, just pass on these. The only reason to buy them would be to fill out the collection to prevent the possibility of them unlocking inside of the Fated Engram.

For those curious, these gauntlets are viewed as the weakest exotics in the game, heavily reliant on other players wearing Aeon gear as well. The Swift variant grants Grenade energy to Warlocks, Barricade energy to Titans, and Dodge energy to Hunters, once the player wearing the gear dodges. Players not part of the Aeon Cult (wearing their Aeon gear), only receive a fraction of the shared energy. Since players don’t wear this gear, they’re not very helpful. There are much better exotics available that should be used instead of these.

Dunemarchers - Titan helm

Dunemarchers are available for purchase this weekend. Linear Actuators increase the player’s sprint speed and also builds up a static charge. When using a melee attack on an opponent, the charge is released and chains damage to all nearby enemies.

Ultimately, these are a fun exotic to mess around with though their actual utility may vary from person to person. Still, they’re worth picking up for those who don’t have them as they can cause some pretty big damage when paired with certain Titan subclasses likebottom tree Strikeror middle tree Sunbreaker.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

Exotic Weapon

The somewhat underrated Sunshot hand cannon is back on sale this weekend. Sunburn, the intrinsic perk, causes the weapon to fire explosive rounds and causes enemies to become highlighted after taking damage. Its other unique perk, known as Sun Blast, causes targets to explode after being killed, not requiring a headshot like the similar perk, Dragonfly.

Once viewed as a mediocre exotic weapon choice, the hand cannon has since become a strong option in either PvE or PvP content, even rivalingthe popular Spare Rations. It’s a 150RPM hand cannon with explosive rounds, capable of chaining damage to multiple enemies that are too close together. It’s also advisable to grab the catalyst for it as it increases the weapon’s range and stability even further.
