A new trailer for the action RPG mobile gameDisney Mirrorversefeatures some of the biggest and iconic villains from Disney’s catalogue that will be coming to the game soon. Some of these villains originate from manyclassic animated Disney properties, such asAladdin,The Little Mermaid, and evenA Nightmare Before Christmas.
Disney Mirrorverseis focused on players being able to play as some of the company’s heroes from its myriad of animated and live-action properties, teaming up to protect the multiverse. The heroes are known as “Guardians,” getting alternate universe re-designs that are more combat oriented.Disney Mirrorversereleased earlier this summer, with heroes likeMonsters Inc’s Sully andToy Story’s Buzz Lightyear obtainable via gacha mechanics. The roster has mostly consisted of heroes, with only a couple villains like Captain Hook and Scar. This latest adds many classic villains to the roster that players can summon.

The trailer kicks off withA Nightmare Before Christmas' Oogie-Boogie, who utilizes a mace to crush some opposing Fractured creatures that oppose him, while defending himself with a spiky shield. The narration in the trailer even alludes to the villains and their playable appearance in this game, even noting that “sometimes the best hero is a villain.” The trailer then proceeds to show off a re-designed Ursula, where she fights against the Fractured with her tentacles and dark magic.
When Fractured creatures appear to attack the devious duo a second time, blue flames erupt from the ground, which signal the appearance of Hades fromDisney’sHercules, indicating he’ll be a character that players can summon as well. The end of this trailer shows the three uniting with Maleficent, a playable villain in the roster ofMirrorverse, before fading out to a shot of Jafar, which indicates he’ll likely become a part of the playable roster, or will be the antagonist of this upcoming event.
Considering that Maleficent was the one to create the Fractured and was originally a boss inDisney Mirroverse, there was a likely chance that other NPC villains in the game were also going to make the jump to the roster too. On a related note, since the game also features story events that play up the crossover aspect, fans should expect some interesting conversations between some of the playable heroes and these newly added villains.
Disney Mirrorverseis available now for mobile devices.
