InDisney Dreamlight Valley’s Beauty and the Beast Realm, players enter their universe at a difficult time and are tasked with resolving the conflict between Belle and The Beast, which has escalated due to a simple misunderstanding. It’s the player’s role to intervene and, through careful navigating of the complex relationship between the two beloved Disney characters, help bring them together again.
Completing this second part of the quest series in the Beauty and the Beast Realm will unlock both Belle and The Beast as permanent residents of Dreamlight Valley. Here’s everything players need to do to complete “A Prince in Disguise,” within the Beauty and the Beast Realm ofDisney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Start the Quest “A Prince in Disguise”
The quest“A Prince in Disguise”becomes available immediately upon completing the first quest in the Beauty and the Beast Realm,“Into The West Wing.”After turning in that quest to Belle, the player can turn around and speak to The Beast to start the next part of the quest series to unlock Belle and The Beast as residents of Dreamlight Valley.
How to Complete the Quest “A Prince in Disguise”
After the events of the previous quest, Beast confides in the player his desire to give Belle a special gift as an apology and to show his appreciation. He tells the player that he owns anEnchanted Mirrorthat can reveal the perfect gift for Belle. However, he had instructed Lumière to lock the mirror away in a magic chest, and had the key to this chest broken into three parts.
The only way to get into the chest is to locate the pieces of the key is by solving riddles left by Lumière, and The Beast admits he’s not very good at puzzles. The player offers to help and this starts the quest,“A Prince in Disguise.”
Solve the Clues to Find the Key Pieces
Lumière has provided vague hints to find the three essential pieces. The challenge also lies in what isn’t mentioned in these hints. To obtain the Key Pieces, the player will not only have tofind the correct locationbut alsouse a specific Royal Toolat each location to retrieve the Key Piece.
Here’s how to find and collectall three Key Piecesfor The Beast’s quest, “A Prince in Disguise,” inDisney Dreamlight Valley:
Visit thefireplacein the library and use theRoyal Watering Can.
Visit theleft lion statueupstairs and use theRoyal Pickaxeto break it.
Thorny Place
Visit thegardenand use theRoyal Shovelin the glowing spot near the lamppost at the middle of the maze.
Return to Beast with Key Pieces
After gathering the three Key Pieces, return to The Beast in the West Wing. The Beast will reassemble the key and request that thenearby chestbe opened. Now that the player has the key, they canretrieve the Enchanted Mirrorfrom the chest and hand it over to The Beast.
Craft the Perfect Gift for Belle
Peering into the Enchanted Mirror reveals a scene depicting Belle writing while surrounded by books. Inspired by this vignette, the player suggests that aBook Kitwould make a great gift for Belle. The Beast agrees, and the player sets off to Dreamlight Valley to collect the following materials:
How to Get
20 Fiber
Fiber can be created at a crafting table using one Seaweed to make five pieces of Fiber. May also be sold at Kristoff’s Stall.
Purple Falling Penstemoncan be foraged in the Peaceful Meadow biome.
Empty Vial
Empty Vialscan be crafted using three Glass. Glass is crafted using Sand, or can be obtained by extinguishing fires in the Forgotten Lands.
“Feather from a Villager”
Speak with Scrooge McDuck in his Store.
The first three ingredients are fairly standard fare for crafting in Dreamlight Valley, but the last one is a special piece players will have to head to the right villager to obtain. The last required material is aFeather, which can be obtained by visitingScrooge McDuckin his Store. He’ll hand over one of his Feathers at no charge and, with the other materials collected, the player can use his crafting table to assemble theBook Kit.
Help The Beast Prepare to Apologize
Return to the West Wing and give the completed Book Kit to The Beast. He is looking forward to giving it to Belle, but he expresses concern over her potential reaction to his previous outburst. The player decides he just needs aquick makeoverto get himself collected and ready to face Belle with his apology and gift.

To accomplish this, the player needs to retrieve the following items from inside The Beast’s room in the West Wing:
Princely Shampoo
On atable next to the bathtubbehind the room dividers.
Hand the grooming items overto The Beast and while nothing about his appearance seems to change, his attitude has certainly improved, and he’s ready to head out to the garden to meet up with Belle.Follow The Beastinto the garden maze, where he’ll encounter Belle and will deliver both the Book Kit and his apology.
Once their discussion is finished, the player can speak with Belle, who again expresses interest invisiting Dreamlight Valleyand believes she can convince The Beast to come along now that they’ve patched things up.
Place Beast’s Castle in Dreamlight Valley
To invite Belle and The Beast to move into Dreamlight Valley, the player will need toplace Beast’s Castlein the valley. Return to the Valley, open the inventory and navigate to the furniture tab. The requests section at the top of the menu features The Beast’s portrait. Click on it and select Beast’s Castle and place it within the Valley.
To complete construction, interact with the Scrooge McDuck sign and fork over his construction fee of20,000 gold. Once Beast’s Castle is constructed,Bellewill immediatelymove into the Valley. Belle provides the player with a note todeliver to The Beastback in the Beauty and the Beast Realm.

Bring Belle’s Note to The Beast
Return the realm once more and hand over the note to The Beast, easily convincing him to join Belle and the rest of the characters enjoying their lives in Dreamlight Valley. This completes the quest“A Prince in Disguise,”having unlocked both Belle and The Beast as permanent residents of Dreamlight Valley.
