The game is based around farming items and different materials, so aton of players will want to minefor the many benefits it brings.
Players can sell the gems for Star Coins, gift them to villagers to increase their friendship levels, and sometimes use them for recipes in the game. At the time of writing, Rubies aren’t used for any recipes, so players can use them for other purposes instead. Here’s where players can mine Rubies inDisney Dreamlight Valley.

Where To Find Rubies
Disney Dreamlight Valleyhas many different biomes. Some are unlocked early onsince the price of Dreamlightrequired is lower. Others, though, are a bit too expensive to unlock right away. Ruby works a little differently from the basic gems in the game. Instead of mining it from biomes outside, players will have toventure into a mine cave to get Rubies.
Rubies can only be mined in theVitalys Mines.This is a cave that goes deep into some mines, and contains different gems and materials that aren’t in the rest of the valley. The Vitalys Mines are in the north part of the Sunlit Plateau, past the bridge and right by the river. Players can enter the cave, and they will be met with the mine. One last tip is to bring a mining buddy, so players can collect twice as many materials.
What To Use Rubies For
A single Ruby can be sold for 1,000 Star Coins atone of Goofy’s Stalls, while a Shiny Ruby can be sold for 4000 Star Coins. When progressing through the game and completing missions, players will actually be required to sell 7 Rubies at one of Goofy’s Stalls to complete theEconomy 101quest. Players will receive this quest from Scrooge McDuck to teach them how to sell items.
Rubies don’t have a purpose inDisney Dreamlight Valleybesides completing one mission, gifting them, or selling them. Once players complete Economy 101, players should continue to sell them to make extra Star Coins. This makes Rubies the perfect gems to collect and sell.
