YouTube streamer Dr Disrespect first built his massive following on competing platformTwitch, where he was one of its biggest stars. Dr Disrespect’s Twitch streaming career came to an abrupt end on Jul 30, 2025, whenTwitch permanently banned Dr Disrespect. Twitch has still not given any reason for the Dr Disrespect ban, though it seems that the Doc plans on getting his Twitch ban reversed at some point in 2022.
Dr Disrespect shared an image on Twitter detailing his New Year’s resolutions. The last item on the list is “Unbanned and Massive Payment,” written in the familiar purpleTwitchfont. Clearly, this resolution means that Dr Disrepect plans on getting his Twitch account back in 2022, and not only that, but he is expecting to get paid for his troubles.

In the immediate aftermath of his Twitch ban, Dr Disrespect indicated that he didn’t know why his channel was banned from the platform. Then in 2021,Dr Disrespect found out why he was banned from Twitchand suggested that he would be suing the company. There haven’t been any developments on that end just yet, but if Dr Disrespect’s New Year’s resolutions are anything to go by, things might start happening sooner rather than later.
It’s worth pointing out that even if Dr Disrespect’s Twitch ban is reversed, it doesn’t necessarily mean that he will return to the platform. Dr Disrespect has carved out a sizable following for himself on YouTube and it’s possible he will stick with it, especially since othertop streamers like TimTheTatman are now on YouTubeas well. However, Dr Disrespect getting his Twitch ban reversed would allow him to be featured in other Twitch streamer’s streams, which is currently not allowed.
It’s hard to say what will happen with the Twitch situation, but in the meantime, Dr Disrespect’s other New Year’s resolutions will also be of interest to his fans. The top of the list says that Dr Disrespect plans on raising $100 million to fund his game development studio Midnight Society.Dr Disrespect’s Midnight Societyis billing itself as a triple-A gaming studio, and considering how passionate and critical the Doc is about the games he plays on stream, expectations are definitely going to be high for whatever game the studio puts out.
Dr Disrespect’s other New Year’s resolutions include breaking into the bourbon business, releasing a music album, and hosting an event called Doc-Con 22. More specific details on these plans aren’t available at the time of this writing, butDr Disrespect fanscan expect the popular streamer to reveal more details later in 2022.
