Summary
While speaking at the PlayStation Partners Awards, FromSoftware andElden Ringproducer Yasuhiro Kitao provides a small update on how the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is progressing. One of the highlights of 2022 was FromSoftware’s massive open world title, Elden Ring, which went on to win a ton of awards both from critics and fans alike. While Elden Ring has plenty to do and encourages multiple playthroughs based on all of the different possible play styles and classes, fans have been clamoring for more content.
Thankfully, FromSoftware is ready to oblige those requests after it announced anew expansion known as Shadow of the Erdtree early in 2023through a seemingly random Tweet. However, not much else has been revealed about the expansion outside of a screenshot and a slight update in early November. Many fans assumed a trailer would surface at one of the many Summer and Fall gaming conventions, like Gamescom or Summer Games Fest, though the events have largely come and gone without any news. However, FromSoftware has provided another development update onElden Ring’s expansion, leaving fans hopeful that a bigger reveal looms.

For Kitao, he remains grateful that so many players took an interest in the game, admitting that he had no other words besides gratitude.
