The Epic Games Store has released the latest free game,Aven Colony, which is available for users to claim for free from now until it’s removed on November 11 at 10am CT.Aven Colonyhas been described asSimCityin space, and while it didn’t earn widespread acclaim, it’s still worth checking out for fans of the city management genre. After all, Epic Games Store free games can be claimed for free with zero purchase necessary, so there’s no reason not to claim it.

Along with giving awayAven Colonyfor free, the Epic Games Store has confirmed what users can expect from next week. Instead of getting a new free game, Epic Games Store users will get theRogue CompanySeason 4 Epic Pack.Rogue Companyis a free-to-play third-person gamewith hero-shooter elements, for the uninitiated. It’s a live service game that adds new content on a regular basis, and like other live service games, uses a seasonal model for its content.

ThisRogue CompanySeason 4 Epic Pack includes the Switchblade and Scorch characters, along with the Inferno Imp outfit for Switchblade. Additionally,Rogue Companyfanscan also get 20K Battle Pass XP when they claim the Season 4 Epic Pack. So while it’s not quite the same as getting a free game through the Epic Games Store, it will likely still be exciting for anyRogue Companyfans that use the Epic Games Store.
This isn’t the first time the Epic Games Store has given away content like this, though in the past it has typically come with a free game. In October, the Epic Games Store gave away theEpic Pack forPaladins, another free-to-play game, alongsideStubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse. So far, no other free game has been confirmed to be coming alongside theRogue CompanySeason 4 Epic Pack, though that could change once next week rolls around.
Occasionally, theEpic Games Store gives away surprise gamesthat it didn’t announce in advance, and there’s a chance that could happen with next week’s offerings. However, fans shouldn’t hold their breath. The only thing they can count on for sure is that theRogue CompanySeason 4 Epic Pack will be free from November 11 to November 18 at 10am CT.
