The team behindFallout: London, the ambitious mod forFallout 4that takes the player through a post-apocalyptic version of England’s capital city, has released a new progress video that shows off yet more content. Featuring what many would consider to beone of the best Bethesda step out moments, the fourth installment in theFalloutfranchise has been getting a lot of mileage since it launched in 2015. The vanilla experience alone is enough to suck fans in for hours at a time, but it’s the modding community that really keeps it in the limelight for some.

There are already plenty ofexcellent mods forFallout 4, whether they tweak the gameplay or UI, fix some bugs, add new NPCs and missions, or as in this case, create a whole new section that’s on par with an official expansion. Anyone who’s played the game, or indeed pretty much anything released by Bethesda, knows the value of custom content. And while there’s nothing wrong with the base product itself, mods like this upcoming one are a testament to the fans and their dedication to adding more to the titles they love.

As noted by PC Gamer, more content fromFallout: Londonhas been demonstrated in a recently released video for theFallout 4mod. One thing the team is pretty proud of is the fully working train system. Kat “Popelady” Welsford, one of the members of the PR team, introduced the trains. While fans would have seen these in previous videos, they were just sideways elevators back then but are now “fully rigged and animated,” with the player able to get on and off them. Viewers will also see some robots, including one that’s been designed from the classic British mailbox. The mod will also feature 100 music tracks, 40 of which will be radio tunes. There’s also been a teaser for some of the locations, including the London aquarium.

Fallout: Londonhas been in development for some time now, and currently there doesn’t appear to be a release date for the full project, though there is some standalone content from the mod that can be downloaded, such as weapons and armor. However, the team expects it to be out sometime this year, and when it finally comes out, players will need to have the full game as well as all the DLC to run the mod.

WithBethesda confirmingFallout 5earlier last year, there’s going to be a lot of hype around what lies ahead for the long-running RPG series. While76went down as a disappointment, there’s no denying that theFalloutname has grown over the years, pretty much since the third installment was released back in 2008.

Fallout 4is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
