The latest All Saints' Wake seasonal event inFinal Fantasy 14lets players assume the role of several major characters across the game’s expansion packs. Unlike other MMOs,Final Fantasy 14’s seasonal events change annually, usually containing a brief storyline that is loosely connected and standalone, with the rewards being (in similar nature) different from year to year.
Theprevious All Saints' Wake forFinal Fantasy 14was postponed due to the launch ofEndwalker, but this year’s Halloween-themed event arrived just in time on October 19, and it will last all the way to November 1. Players above Level 15 are welcome to undertake the All Saints' Wake quest by talking to the Adventurers Guild Investigator in Old Gridania’s Amphitheater. Completing A Mad Masquerade will award players with the new Wake Doctor set while taking on the second quest will direct them towards the Bespectacled Peddler that sells a new emote and housing decoration for gil, as well as unlocks an area eerily reminiscent of Haukke Manor.

The interesting part about this manor is that players can shapeshift to theirfavoriteFinal Fantasy 14charactersat this manor to their heart’s content. The options are plenty: from popular scions such as G’raha Tia and Thancred Waters, the eccentric Nashu and Hildibrand from the Manderville quests, or even newEndwalkeradditions like Amelliance and Forchenault. Notable omissions include Zenos and Emet-Selch, who unfortunately aren’t listed as possible transformations.
Final Fantasy 14players have had plenty of fun masquerading as characters from the game. There are few things as confusing as walking into a manor filled with Mandervilles doing their iconic dance, and that’s the theme players can expect from this year’s All Saints' Wake. Though the transformations do not persist in duties, they do persist in /gpose – allowing players to take humorous screenshots and share them with friends and the community at large.
The event coincides with the launch ofFinal Fantasy 14’s latest patch, which features the release of Variant dungeons, expandsEndwalker’s Tribal quests, and continues the Manderville story as the expansion’s source of procuring relic weapons. Though the masquerade fun will cease on November 1, Patch 6.2.5 has plenty to offer in terms of traditional content. For the particularly impatient, Patch 6.3 is merely a few months away, scheduled to bring the next wing ofEndwalker’s Myths of the Realm alliance raid, expand the popular Island Sanctuary feature, and potentially even introduce female Hrothgar to the game.
Final Fantasy 14is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5.
