Final Fantasy 14fans are making their way back to the critically-acclaimed MMORPG in preparation for 6.2, its next major content patch. Players will have one more thing to occupy their time in the weeks preceding theFinal Fantasy 14patch as the Moonfire Faire makes an explosive return.
As with many events, players can participate in the Moonfire Faire event by heading to the Aftcastle in Limsa Lominsa and speaking to Mayaru Moyaru once the event begins on August 10. Players who have reached level 30, includingthose onFinal Fantasy 14’sfree trial, are eligible to accept the event quest, called “A Matter of Course,” until the event ends early morning on August 26.

This year, the event rewards are a swimsuit glamour called the Summer Sunset set. The items themselves are shared between both male and female characters, and both are incredibly detailed and dyeable. Additionally, players can get a Summer Bonfire outdoor furnishing item to throw their own fiery festivals.
The Moonfire Faire is a yearly summer-themed event whereFinal Fantasy 14players unlock special cosmetics, including swimsuits, mounts, and special dances. One year even saw players becoming a part of a sentai squad of color-coded rangers. Judging from the quest name and art of the event, it is likely the Moonfire Faire for this year is bringing back the exceptionally fun and popular obstacle courseFinal Fantasy 14had available in the past.
Final Fantasy 14players always love holiday events, and few are as beloved as the Moonfire Faire. It was one of the very first events available inFinal Fantasy 14and is one of the best ways for players to get fashionable swimsuits for beach-themed glamours. The swimsuit available to players this year was leaked early, and players are ecstatic the alluring design is one of this year’s rewards. The obstacle course is also hilariously fun, and watchingnewFinal Fantasy 14playerscomplete it for the first time will be a delight for veterans.
August is going to be a big month forFinal Fantasy 14players. Beyond the Moonfire Faire, players can look forward to theBuried MemoryLetter from the Producer LIVE on August 12, and Patch 6.2 itself likely arrives on August 23. Additionally, the Rising anniversary event will begin after the Moonfire Faire concludes–likely August 30 or September 6. With so much to look forward to over the next month,Final Fantasy 14players have plenty of reasons to stay inside for the summer.
