AGenshin Impactfan has found a way how to precisely determine Celestia’s location on the map. This is one of the most important locations according to the game’s main storyline since it’s known as the place where multiple gods of Teyvat reside.
Genshin Impact’s world is named Teyvat, and it consists of seven different major regions, five of which are available for Travelers to explore at the moment. The most recent major update has added the long-awaited Fontaine region which is ruled over by the Hydro Archon Focalors who is also known as the God of Justice.

Some locations that have been mentioned inGenshin Impact’s story don’t actually belong to any of the seven nations. The two most popular ones are probablythe floating island known as Celestiaand Khaenri’ah, also known as the “nation without a God”. Celestia can be seen from almost any location in the game since it’s located far above the playable terrain. Since the game arrived way back in September 2020, fans have been winding where this island is exactly located on the map. Over the last couple of months, players have tried to determine its exact location by using different types of calculations. A new triangulation shared by a Reddit user named OneMisterSir101 probably gives the most precise results on the matter so far.
The whole process does not seem to be too complicated as the player just pointed their characters at the floating island from different viewpoints all over the fivecurrently revealedGenshin Impactregions. Then, the player simply drew straight lines based on the direction of the character’s mark on the in-game map. The results show that Celestia is located somewhere in the middle of the undiscovered territory that is currently shown between Liyue and Fontaine.
Travelers have been wondering why HoYoverse didn’t attach the Fontaine region to Liyue in the north. Players could soon get to find out more information about the floating island as upcoming updates may introduce expansions for the Hydro nation. An interesting detail found in the description of one of the game’s artifact sets has revealed thatthe Geo nation has another port besides Liyue Harbor.
This led many players to believe that this unknown territory could be filled with water for the most part. Fans also speculate that Celestia will probably be part of the end-game content which means that it will be introduced as anewGenshin Impactregionafter all the seven major regions have been explored.
