Recent updates from trusted leakers have suggested the patch will also seeFontaine’s first officially revealed character, Charlotte, join the roster. According to new leaks, Furina’s release will be joined by a re-run of a popular healer.

A recent leak shared by prominentGenshin Impactleakers HXG and Full Stop Chan have revealed the characters set to appear during thefirst half ofGenshin Impact’s Version 4.2. The leak confirms Furina’s speculated release date during the first half of Version 4.2 while also confirming a re-run ofpowerful Dendro healer Baizhu. The banner leak also reveals the previously mentioned Charlotte will appear on Furina’s banner as a featured character. Version 4.2 is currently expected to debut withinGenshin Impacton November 8.
Early leaks of Furina’s gameplay style have suggested healers like Baizhu and Charlotte will be an important part of teams built around the Hydro Archon.Furina’s kit is heavily suggested to focusaround draining HP, sapping her allies' health in order to buff her own attacks. Recovering and losing HP will also impact how the character plays, giving her bonuses either to healing effects or boosts to her damage. Early leaks of Fontaine’s characters had previously revealed that several roster members from the region would feature HP manipulation as a core mechanic.
Furina and Charlotte come as two members of a plethora of characters rumored to be releasing throughout the Fontaine cycle. Beyond Version 4.2, Navia is expected to debut in Version 4.3 as the game’s first Geo character in nearly two years, alongside the heavily rumored launch of Cloud Retainer in Version 4.4. Leaks have also hinted thatArlecchino will become the next playable Fatui member, currently believed to be coming later on in Fontaine’s cycle. Much like past Archons, Furina’s debut in Version 4.2 will look to be a popular and highly-anticipated launch withinGenshin Impact.
