Genshin Impactupdates arrive approximately every 6-7 weeks and they are almost always divided into two parts. Each part has its own banners which allow players to spend their wishes on various characters and weapons for a limited time.
The upcomingGenshin Impactupdate 3.0 will introduce a brand-new region as well as three new characters to the playable roster. Two of the characters, the new Dendro users Tighnari and Collei, will be featured in the first part of the update. The game’s official Twitter account has revealed the characters and weapons that will appear on the first banner for the upcoming Version 3.0.

The recent live stream event has confirmed that the first part of the update will introduce a double banner featuring two five-star characters:the new Dendro bow user Tighnariand the famous Geo Archon Zhongli. Developer HoYoverse has confirmed confirmed that Tighnari will join the Standard banner after the update ends. According to the tweet, both of these banners will feature the following four-star characters:
Fans seem very surprised by the lineup considering that this will be the first time HoYoverse has put three four-star characters that have the same weapon type on one banner. Collei is the only new four-star addition on the update’s first banner, and she will apparently be the character to introduce the Traveler to the new Sumeru region.Genshin Impacthas officially confirmed that players will receive Collei for freeas part of the upcoming quest lines.
The two five-star weapons that will be featured on the first weapon banner forGenshin ImpactVersion 3.0are Hunter’s Path and Vortex Vanquisher. Hunter’s Path is the only new item, and it will serve as the signature weapon for the new five-star character Tighnari. Its passive increases the Charged Attack damage by 160-320% of the character’s Elemental Mastery, and it grants a 12-24% elemental damage buff based on the refinement level.
Considering that Tighnari has a unique Charged Attack mechanic similar to Ganyu means that this will be the go-to weapon for the new Dendro bow user. The Vortex Vanquisher is a decent five-star polearm that can be used bystrong shielding characters like Zhongliwho is the second limited five-star in the update. The weapon’s passive increases shield strength by 20% and grants a 4% damage buff whenever players hit an opponent. The Attack buff is doubled if the character is equipped with a shield.
Genshin Impactis now available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
