Since its arrival back in 2020,Genshin Impacthas become one of the most successful gacha-based titles in the gaming industry. Players are required to spend different in-game currencies in order to acquire their desired character on limited banners which are usually available for approximately 22 days. At the moment, there are two main gacha currencies that can be spent onGenshin Impactbanners: Intertwined and Acquaint Fates.

Each fate costs 160 Primogems and can be spent to make one wish on the banner, and the Intertwined Fates are far more popular since they can be spent on thelimitedGenshin Impactbanners.Genshin Impactplayers occasionally convert their Primogems into Acquaint Fates by mistake which can be frustrating because players can spend these Fates only on the game’s Standard banner. Luckily, a recent post on theGenshin ImpactReddit has revealed that there is hope for players who’ve made this mistake.

A couple of days ago, Reddit user Junichi shared that they mistakenlyspent a vast amount of Primogemson the wrong fates. However, the same player has recently revealed that they’ve actually managed to successfully revert their purchase which was widely accepted to be impossible. According to the thread, there are four key steps players should take if they find themselves in this uncomfortable situation:

While players tend to acquire blue fates only when they are handed out for free, things could change in the foreseeable future. Standard banners include a couple of verypopularGenshin Impactcharacters, however, the fact that they can be dropped on the limited banner as well gives no reason for players to spend their Primogems on this banner. Limited banners have a 50% chance of dropping a standard character, and Keqing is the only standard character that has been a part of the limited banner as well.

ArecentGenshin Impactleakhas revealed that upcoming updates could bring a new mechanic of getting standard banner characters without spending any Primogems. Developer Hoyoverse keeps making improvements to the banner system withGenshin Impactupdate 2.3 introducing the first double banner featuring Eula and Albedo. Double banners usually include two banner re-runs, with some exceptions like Shenhe and Ayato, who have been a part of a double banner despite being brand-new characters.

Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version in development.
