There are several Los Santos shops tended by NPCs thatGrand Theft Auto 5players can enter in the massive open world map and the surrounding area, including gun shops, clothing outlets, and a convenience store. OneGrand Theft Auto 5player has decided to kill the convenience store NPC, and now the shop is without a worker as the character has stayed dead, and the store hasn’t hired a replacement.
The Los Santos convenience store ofGrand Theft Auto 5shares some similarities with real-lifeshops like 7-Eleven, Circle K, and Mac’s, and just like these physical locations, the in-game one is known to have run-ins with criminals.GTA 5players can choose to rob the convenience stores of Los Santos, but some players take things too far by killing the cashiers who don’t always return to work after an allotted time has elapsed and allowed them to respawn. Reddit user Subject_Ad_3120 recently shared an image from theirGrand Theft Auto 5adventure in which they’ve stepped behind the counter of the convenience store to reveal their destruction.

Standing behind theGTA 5convenience store’s cash register as Michael, Subject_Ad_3120 looms over the shop attendant that they had killed in a prior raid, highlighting the fact that the player has left and returned. The NPCs body is left behind the counter which may prevent otherGTA 5characters from reacting to the evidence of Subject_Ad_3120’s crimes, like whenGrand Theft AutoNPCsare attacked by players with witnesses in broad daylight. Confirmed in a subsequent update post, Subject_Ad_3120 has also confirmed that upon leaving the convenience shop for a second time, the location has locked its doors and remains closed.
Given how replaceable a lot of theGrand Theft Auto 5NPCs are in Los Santos, players often shoot first and ask questions later, but like in games such asSkyrimorFallout 4, some of these characters don’t return, which can cause problems. Beyond being unable to buy things there anymore, the death of this convenience store attendant resulting in a store closure reduces the number of shops Subject_Ad_3120 can enter inGTA 5and removes one potential robbery target. While employees like convenience store workers inGrand Theft AutoRPare often replaced by other players, NPCs in the campaign like this one may be irreplaceable.
Since Subject_Ad_3120 posted theirGTA 5screenshot, many fans have let the player know that this is a normal occurrence for important NPCs that are killed, with one suggesting that Subject_Ad_3120 now has to take over the shop until they are eventually killed as well. OneGrand Theft Autofan suggested that the cashier is pretending to be dead to dodge the player, which may be how anNPC stayed stuck to aGTA 5plane wingas well, while another stated that the character needs to be convinced to get up now that they’re laying facedown on the floor behind the counter.
