There are plenty of people undergoing self-quarantine at the moment and this includes several celebrities. While in self-quarantine the director of theGuardians of the Galaxyfilms, James Gunn,  answered fan questions on Instagram. One of these questions was about his favorite game in terms of story-telling and although the director didn’t pick aGuardians of the Galaxygame, he did pick a title from the Sci-Fi genre that was a huge hit.

The comedic tone of the firstGuardians of the Galaxyfilm set it apart from more serious superhero titles, andthe impressive box office performance of the filmshowed that fans enjoyed the change of pace. Unsurprisingly, fans are now looking forward to a third installment and hoping that it can top the previous titles. While that may be hard to do, the Q&A with Gunn certainly suggests that the director has a good taste in Sci-Fi games and not just films.

Therumor ofStar Wars: Knights of the Republiccoming backhas excited fans and after the success of EA’s last venture into the Star Wars canon it may be an option that the publisher is seriously considering. It is apparent that the series has numerous fans and in this instance some celebrity players as well. On the back of the games impressive following, there are discussions about a film installment of the game, but this seems to be in very early development.

Those who are hoping for James Gunn to be involved in the Star Wars cinematic universe are out of luck, when asked about joining the franchise he stated: “No it doesn’t really interest me as a filmmaker.” Witha script almost completed forKnights of the Old Republic, it will be interesting to see how it develops. In the meantime, players will have to settle for James Gunn directing a different Disney franchise, but at least gamers now know that their fandom is shared with a successful director.
