Despite having a successful launch at the end of 2021,Halo Infinitehas been navigating a bumpy road over the last couple of months. While the core gameplay remains fun for many gamers, a host of issues has made enjoying the first-person shooter a challenge. Among the frustrations encountered by players is thedelay of new contentfor the game.
Since the release ofHalo Infiniteon December 8, fans have been promised by the developers at 343 Industries that new content is on the way. Specifically, campaign co-op and Forge mode are expected to drop sometime in the future. However, players have heard very little news about either of these features recently. As a result, some members of theHalocommunity are beginning to run out of patience and have started questioning what the roadmap for 2022 even looks like.

Recently, a gamer known as Haijakk began an intriguing conversation on Reddit aboutHalo Infinite. In the post, they highlighted the lack of information shared by the developers at 343 Industries. They backed up this claim by citing a previousmessage from Joseph Staten, Head of Creative onHalo Infinite. In the attached statement, the developer had announced a delay for an update about Forge and co-op, noting that the studio needed more time to figure out the roadmap for the remainder of 2022. However, Haijakk pointed out that a month had passed since these comments from Staten, and there was still no word on plans for the year ahead.
Since Haijakk posted this message a day ago, numerous members of theHalocommunity have been quick to weigh in on the topic. With an impressive 10,900 upvotes on Reddit, many echoed the sentiment that 343 Industries needed to be more transparent about its roadmap. While a few were optimistic that thearrival of Season 2in May could bring a much-needed update, a large number of gamers were less hopeful. Some even expected that the upcoming season would get delayed.
Among the criticisms from fans, a common refrain was that the developers needed to be more realistic with release dates for upcoming content. “Be honest and conservative about dates you set,” jazwch01 said on Reddit. They argued that this would temper expectations and reduce the disappointment from fans.
