One ofHigh on Life’s achievements are called ‘Fallout Doesn’t Let You Do This,’ and to unlock it, players need to kill a character namedSlumsley. Slumsley is an NPC that players will run into during their first very first Bounty mission in the game. This is the mission where players have to go through the Slums to find and take down 9-Torg, the first boss.
How to Kill Slumsley in High on Life
In the early section of the mission, players will eventually come across a short yellow-colored character that’s sort of bullying them and blocking the way forward. This is Slumsley. At first,High on Lifeplayers won’t be able to shoot the ‘kid,’ but after he talks for a little bit, the reticle will change and players can shoot and kill Slumsley if they want to. If players shoot him, he’ll drop dead and the Fallout Doesn’t Let You Do This achievement will unlock, giving players 20 Gamerscore.
High on Lifeplayers can miss out on this achievement if they decide to continue forward on their bounty without killing Slumsley. So for those that plan on unlocking everything, be sure not to miss out on his death.

What Happens if You Kill Slumsley?
If players end up killing Slumsley, it doesn’t seem like it changes anything related to the main storyline. The only piece of dialogue that can occur due to his death is with his mom. After taking a few steps out of the gate after meeting Slumsley, his mom will be standing at a booth on the left side of the path.

At first, it may seem like she’s upset about her son dying, but it turns out that she isn’t even that mad at all about the situation. She also mentions that Slumsley is actually 30 years old. So for anyone that felt bad for taking Slumsley down, it’s not as bad as shooting an actual child. Players can speak to the mom a second time for a little bonus line about her dead son.
