TheElder Scrolls V: Skyrimhas recently celebrated its ten year anniversary. The fantasy epic of a game is still granting fans fresh content, whether it be through official updates like theAnniversary Editionof the game, or through the near-endless mods created by fans ofSkyrim.
ModdingSkyrimturns the traditional experience of the game inside out. There are the more serious mods, things which add lore friendly quests, armor sets and NPCs, and then there’s the more ridiculous mods, where a player can find the files to turnSkyriminto the strangest fever dream. As dragons transform into Thomas the Tank Engine or Macho Man Randy Savage, and theFall GuysBeanscan follow players on their adventures into the homeland of the Nords,Skyrimtruly can become a place for the weird.

Among the serious, immersive mods, and the weird, wacky ones are the mods that are strange in a darker way, like the “Killable Children” mods. While a player is sure to earn some odd looks if this mod file is downloaded on their PC, it might just be worth it to see Braith fly off into the air. Not only does the mod remove the invincibility of children in the base game, it also allows players to use their shout or Thu’um against children. While most children in the game are sweet, such asthe orphans aSkyrimplayer can adopt as their own digital children, Braith is a child many find insufferable.
Braith is one of many charactersSkyrimplayers have found annoying since release. Like her fellowhated residents of Whiterun, Belethor and Nazeem, Braith is just one of those NPCs that seems to be designed to irritate and antagonise the player. While a player can often get their revenge on Belethor and Nazeem by outright killing them, without mods this is impossible to do to Braith. However, as one player discovered on Reddit, by using their Unrelenting Force shout against Braith they can send the little brat flying into the clouds, all for a measly 40 gold bounty.
Many find Braith irritating because of her bullying nature, which she shows to the other children of Whiterun and to the player at times, yet, launching her into the air like Team Rocket may seem a harsh punishment for some. For those of a mind, Braith should stay with her feet planted firmly on the ground, they simply do not have to install the “Killable Children” mod. Even without mods though,Skyrimcan be a wild experience, as one player found out when abug saw them able to fly through the air on a horse.
