After years of trailers, leaks, and other information,Elden Ringis finally available to players. Between overwhelmingly positive critic reviews pre-launch and many positive player reviews so far,Elden Ringis sure to be a frontrunner for many 2022 game of the year awards.
With Bandai Namco addressing theperformance issues affectingElden RingPC players, soon there may not be many negatives left for the game. However, considering the game’s triple-A price tag of $60 and an even more expensive deluxe edition, some players are still undecided on whether they wish to purchase the game.

Haver’s take on NPCs in the game was nothing short of inspired, especially considering the limited information he was given to work with. The first skit, depicting 3 soldiers conversing about wall heights and the inability to scale a chest-high wall was a perfect setup for the player character to jump over the group using Torrent (the player’s mount). The bit concerning an NPC’s thoughtful help being ignored perfectly describes the hard-headed nature of manySoulsplayers. Haver’s joke about the spirit summon killing its own child was brutal, but also topical considering the spirits the players summons are dead NPCs, and the scene where the player is skipping an NPC’s monologue was very on-point. Considering the comedic tone Hidetaka Miyazaki takes when talking about aspects of the game such asElden Ring’s poison swamps, the animation was incredibly on-the-nose.
Considering the warm reception by fans oftheElden RingPS1 demake, it makes sense that the YouTube community would enjoy Haver’s hilarious animated take on the game. As such, YouTube users were equal parts blown away by the animation and left laughing by its content. One user commented that if Haver had told them that the video was 100% accurateElden Ringlore that they would have believed him. Another user joked that of course the chest-high wall couldn’t stop Torrent, as it was designed to block human chests.
The game is not without flaw, as evidenced by performance issues on PC andnetwork problems forElden Ringon Xbox. However, with Bandai Namco continuing to work towards fixing the problems, there is hope that the game will reach a much more optimal state very soon. Also, if Haver’s animation is anything to go by, the world ofElden Ringis surely a wacky, hilarious place that deserves players' attention.
Elden Ringis now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
