6The Look

Making Ron Weasley, or as close as possible, in the character screen is difficult but starts with some simple pieces of information. For face shape, a good one for Ron is option #2, while the skin color should obviously be as pale as possible. Hair color is obviously another massively noticeable trait for Ron, and the color choice is best suited by likely #18, while the hairstyle is a difficult choice since it changes greatly from film to film. A fairly good fit is #15 though players may like to select their own based on which version of Ronthey are trying to play as.

Ron’s eye color is best suited by an option like #9, while his eyebrows appear to be relatively thin and so should be something like option #4 in the game. Eyebrow color is again best represented by one of the choices on or around #18. Some light freckling but nothing heavy and a complexion choice somewhere in the middle or slightly further to the right will give the best possible look for Ron.

hogwarts legacy wand

5Wand

Ron’s wand is a slight source of contention among Harry Potter fans because he had two separate ones over the course of theHarry Pottermovies. His first wand broke in the second year of his time at Hogwarts, and therefore it is possible that, since the player character is a fifth-year student,Hogwarts Legacyplayers will prefer to role-play as Ron using his second wand which he was carrying in his own fifth year.

Either way, his first wand was twelve inches long, made of ash with a unicorn hair core. This wand was owned by Ron’s brother Charlie originally. However, after the Whomping Willow got hold of him, it started malfunctioning and eventually Ron had to get a replacement. His second wand, which he still holds by the end of the film franchise, was fourteen inches, made of willow, and also contained a unicorn hair core. Whichever wand players choose to emulate, they’ll still have a version of Ron’s wand.

Another piece of Ron’s character story that will affect gameplay for players inHogwarts Legacyis which house they choosefor their stay in Hogwarts. Of course, Ron Weasley himself was a member of Gryffindor house alongside every other member of his family, and this choice will be an important one forHogwarts Legacyplayers to take on if they choose Ron to play as.

While players can choose the house as part of their character creation, they should alsokeep in mind that certain actionsand interactions involving Ron would be dictated by both his membership and love of Gryffindor house, and the aspects of what makes a person a Gryffindor.

3Ron’s Favorite Spells

Ron is not a high-level wizard. While Harry is often shown as being a strong wizard that uses a variety of spells in combat, and Hermione is the genius who has a wide range of spells at her disposal, Ron isn’t as advanced as either and in general, players should keep to some of the slightly more basic spells which he himself sticks to in the movies.

Ron is seen often using spells like Accio, Confundo, Depulso, Descendo and Expelliarmus. One of his favorite spells seems to be stupefy, as he uses this commonly in battle situations during the movies. Whether players choose to stick strictly to this move set or spread out a little with their choices, Ron is a fairly standardmember of Dumbledore’s Armyand learned many spells from Harry and others in his time there.

2Game Choices

Ron is often seen to take no-nonsense in a way that sees him squaring up to people in an attempt to stand up for his friends or himself. This occurs more as the movies go on, so if players are looking to role-play as Ron in his fifth year, the same year the player character is in the game, then they should take on some of his brash style for sure.

Important choices made throughout the game aren’t necessarily always going toskew Ron towards honesty, as there are some moments when there is a game-changing option to tell the truth to certain characters or not. While Ron is a good wizard, there is a shadiness that may allow players to take liberties in telling the truth on these occasions for example.

1Unforgivable Curses

One of the most significant aspects and choices made inHogwarts Legacyis whether players choose to learn the unforgivable curses. While it is easy to assume Ron would never want to learn these as a good wizard, that isn’t strictly speaking true to form. Ron did know and has used the unforgivable curses, even going so far as being the only good wizard shown to attempt Avada Kedavra in the movies.

When Nagini comes after Ron and Hermione in the finalHarry Pottermovie, Ron appears to use the killing curse, but it failsto work on the snake. He also uses the Imperius curse inDeathly Hallows Part 1on Bogrod. Whether players choose to take the high road and not learn the curses or go for the shadier side of Ron’s character, the use of the curses would probably be infrequent while role-playing as Ron.
