A recent leak fromHonkai: Star Railhas revealed the gameplay kit for an upcoming support character named Lynx, set to debut in a future update. With the sci-fi HoYoverse RPG already sporting a sizable playable roster of 26 characters followingthe impending debut of Luocha and Yukong, the game’s cast is set to grow even larger through future updates. Version 1.2 will bring the game’s playable character count up to 29 with the addition of Kafka, Blade, and Luka. Now, another future character from the game has seen the first details of their gameplay leaked.
ThoughHonkai: Star Railhas already teased some upcoming characters with in-game appearances, several more have seen early gameplay details surface. Leaks have hinted at the gameplay for characters like Misha and Topaz before any official models or in-game art of the characters have been revealed.Star Rail’s early rumors have hinted at a plethora of upcoming cast members with more than 20 future playable characters already teased by leakers. Now, an upcoming character referred to as Lynx has seen her in-game kit revealed early.

A post shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker Hamz has revealed the first details of Lynx’s gameplay, revealing her to be afour-star Quantum character in the Abundance Path. Lynx’s Skill, “Pickled Camping Tin,” applies a new buff called Excitement to allies, increasing their Max HP and causing enemies to more frequently target characters with Excitement. Lynx’s Ultimate, “Snow Field First Aid Knowledge,” provides a team-wide heal that also removes all debuffs from allies. Lynx’sTalent and Technique provide additional healing, both in and out of combat.
While Lynx’s in-game appearance has yet to be revealed, the character’s ability names suggest them to be an avid mountaineer. References to snowy fields and towering mountains could suggest that the character originates from Jarilo-IV with most of the game’s first full world covered in ice. While the main story ofHonkai: Star Railhas already moved into the Xianzhou Luofu,Luka is set to debut as a new characterfrom the frigid world in Version 1.2. Lynx’s release date is currently unknown with the character not yet officially appearing inHonkai: Star Rail.
Lynx’s addition to the game as a new Abundance character would come as the healing-focused class has been one ofHonkai: Star Rail’s most under-represented on launch.Honkai: Star Railwould only release two Abundance characters as a part of the game’s launch roster, featuring Bailu as a permanent five-star and Natasha as a four-star unit.Luocha’s addition in Version 1.1only pushes Abundance ahead of the tank Preservation class as the least represented archetype. Lynx’s debut will provide a much-needed boost to the game’s limited pool of healers.
