Summary
Alongside the new Prismatic Subclasses,Destiny 2’s Final Shape DLC also introduced one new Light Subclass super for each of the three character classes. Prior to the release of the Final Shape DLC, there were concerns that these new Light supers would all be dead on arrival due to speculation about the newPrismatic Subclass’ impact onDestiny 2’s meta. However, with each of the new Light supers being available in the new Prismatic Subclasses as well as the original Light Subclasses, this wasn’t the case.
As players continue to experiment with all the new buildcrafting tools available inDestiny 2, especially the new Light supers, the Final Shape DLC is sure to leave a lasting impression onDestiny 2’s meta. While only one of the three new supers added toDestiny 2has become the new go-to Super for its class, all of them bring some fun flavor to the game.

Hunter’s New Storm’s Edge Super Is a Game-Changer for Mobility
Hunters arguably have some of the best support and DPS supers when it comes to thecurrent meta for Hunter builds inDestiny 2anymore, so any new supers for Hunters are naturally going to have some tough competition to compete with. Consequently, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the new Storm’s Edge Super has one of the lowest DPS outputs against bosses in all ofDestiny 2.
Still, even with this new super’s lack of damage against endgame bosses though, Storm’s Edge arguably makes up for this with the mobility it provides. Especially when paired with the Strand Grapple from either the Strand Subclass or the Prismatic Subclass, Hunters can now zip around the map with this new super and nuke groups of common enemies or PvP players at incredible speeds.
Storm’s Edge’s Strengths
Storm’s Edge Weaknesses
At long last, Titans finally have another super with a ranged attack. However, this alone isn’t enough to compete with some of the current best supers for Titans. One major weakness of this new Twilight Arsenal super is that it doesn’t provide additional survivability while wielding the Void axes, and considering that players will need to utilize these Void axes to get the full damage out of this super, this is where Twilight Arsenal falls short of thecurrent meta for Titan supers inDestiny 2. Without additional damage reduction or the ability to block while wielding the Void axes, this super isn’t always reliable for high-difficulty endgame content, but it can still be a fun option for ad-clear, mini-bosses, and even PvP.

Warlock’s New Song of Flame Super is Shaping up to be the New Meta in Destiny 2
With theWarlock’s meta Well of Radiance supergetting heavily nerfed upon the release of the Final Shape DLC, most Warlock mains will likely want to start investing in other buildcrafting options if they haven’t already. Fortunately though, while one of Warlock’s best supers got nerfed, Warlocks also gained a new super that’s already being considered the new meta.
