After helping Vin look for a cure for his sister in the Honor Bound quest inFallout 76, it seems that players will need to directly confront their father, Antonio. This quest is a long one, and requires adventuring throughthe worn-down Atlantic Cityto find some answers for Abbie.
In theSins of the Father quest, you’ll need to make some tough choices in order to save Abbie’s life, or the quest could end poorly for the Russo family. If you’re looking for some answers on how to successfully complete this mission, we will go over everything you need to do.
How to Start Sins of the Father in Fallout 76
To start Sins of the Father, you will first need to complete these other quests:
This quest chain can be started by visitingthe Rose Room, found in the northeastern section of the map. It’ll be just east of Morgantown and Morgantown High School, and you’re able to begin the first quest by heading downstairs inside the Rose Room and watching the show. Eventually, after completing the first three quests, you’ll unlock Sins of the Father after visiting Atlantic City with Vin.
How to Complete Sins of the Father in Fallout 76
After meeting with Vin back in the Rose Room, and confronting Antonio, you’ll now get started on the quest. Here’s everything you need to complete.
Uncover Antonio’s Secret
Now, you’ll be taken into the back room of the club where Antonio will introduce his secret. However, a lot of people have had issues with approaching Antonio due to being told that thecharacter is busy.To fix this, just quit the gameto the main menu, and open it back up again, and you’ll be able to talk with Antonio.
Travel to the Flooded City Center
Now, open upthe map and Expeditions, and make your way to the Flooded City Center in Atlantic City. Then, head back to the chem lab to meet up with Gene and Antonio. Inside the chem lab, you’ll find out that you’ll need to draw out the Jersey Devil from the Pine Barrens.
For this part, head back outside to the Flooded City Center. There will be five spots that you need to visit to spread the Devil Pheromones, allmarked by a yellow square. You’ll also see each location on the bottom compass, with some locations being on the bottom ground level, and others being on the upper level. After placing the last devil pheromones, talk to Antonio.
Defeat the Jersey Devil
After hearing a loud noise, you and Antonio will need to head outside to find theJersey Devil. Just follow Antonio to the location, and you’ll begin the battle with the boss. This is a difficult fight, so we highly recommendcoming prepared with Stimpaksand grenades to make the battle easier.
It is also recommended that youutilizeVATSagainst the Jersey Devilto eliminate the struggle of aiming.
After defeating the monster, approach Antonio, and he will suggest that you take more blood than you need.There are three choiceshere:
Finally, after making your choice and harvesting the blood, talk with Antonio, and you’ll return to the chem lab.
Return to Gene
In this last section, you’ll need to search for Abbie. Follow Antonio, and eventually you’ll meet with Abbie in a secluded bar. In order to successfully convince her to take the antidote and stay with her family, you’ll have to make sure youconvince Antonio to not harvest extra blood, and choose the first dialogueoption every time. If you want to take a neutral stance, you can choose the middle dialogue option for each response. And, finally, if you want to take the negative route, choose the last dialogueoption.
There seems to be a bug in the section where you and Antonio meet up with Abbie in the bar. To prevent softlocking yourself out of this quest, when you go to meet Abbie, make sure that youdo not exit the conversationat any point. You’ll also want to make sure there aren’t any enemies following you into the bar.
Afterward, return to Gene and she will provide Abbie with the Blood Sample (or return to Gene and give her the bad news after Abbie runs off). Finally, you’ll head back to the Rose Room and meet with all the Russos, and the quest will be wrapped up. You’ll receive:
