How to Unlock the Butler’s Safe in Another Code: Recollection

The Butler’s Room is on the East Wing Hallway first floor. Once inside, Ashley and D can look around and investigate to try and figure out who the room belonged to. There’s a portrait on the wall that players can look at to trigger a memory for D. He remembers that the Butler, a man named Wells, stayed in the room, and he keptall the keys. Searching the room doesn’t result in any keys, but players will find a sturdy safe.

The safe has a combination padlock, and players must search the room for clues. Right next to the safe are shelves with fancy silver dishware that Well’s used to collect. D notices three plates are missing. Players must find these plates before they can unlock the safe.

The first plate is inside the Butler’s Room. Next to the bed is a desk, and when players open the middle drawer, they will find a photo album and one of the plates. The other two plates are found in the Mansion’s other rooms.

Players will find the second plate in the Art Studio beside the Butler’s Room. When they first walk in, D will notice a painting of Frannie. Interact with him to unlock another memory. After the short scene, players can explore the Art Studio. There’s a round table behind the large easel, and the second plate is sitting on it.

The final plate is in the Drawing Room with the Piano. An ashtray is on the same table where the East Wing Key was found. Ashley must brush off the cigarette butts and ashes to reveal the third plate.

Players must place the dishware in the correct order on the shelves in the Butler’s Room. The plates go as follows from left to right:

When the plates are set down, the shelf shifts downward. Once all the shelves move, the portrait of Wells reveals a hidden compartment in the wall. Players can pick up a map of the Mansion from inside.

The map also has handwritten notes in the Butler’s Room. These notes contain the combination for the safe.

Players can insert the combination with the left (L) and right (R) bumpers. Be careful not to turn it too far because you must start over if the combination isn’t exact. Players will find two keys inside the safe: The Flower Key and the Three Leaf Clover Key.

The Flower Key can be used to get inside Frannie’s Room, and the Three Leaf Clover Key belongs to one of the other bedrooms in the East Wing.
