Summary
A creativeStarfieldplayer is morphing into action in a custom spaceship inspired by the original Dinozords fromPower Rangers. Bethesda’s open-world sci-fi RPG has been praised for many things, namely the freedom it grants players in exploringStarfield’s vast galaxy of up to 1,000 procedurally generated planets at their own pace.Starfieldalsoallows players to design their own spaceshipsand characters, which has naturally led to creative tributes to famous video games, movies, and television shows.
The range of these impressive homages is about as vast asStarfielditself, with fan-made spaceships being fittingly modeled after the Stinger Mantis fromStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, the Tumbler fromThe Dark Knight, and even theNormandy ofMass Effectfame. The long-runningPower Rangersfranchise is another property familiar with space travel, and oneStarfieldplayer has brought the original Zords into orbit ahead of Netflix’s upcomingPower Rangers Cosmic Furyseason.

Reddit user Advanced_Sector_3442 recently posted a series of images to r/Starfield depicting their latest creation: a ship modeled after the Dinozords fromMighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. Particularly, this multi-colored space vessel takes its design from the Tank Mode that the five Zords combine into before becoming the hulking Megazord robot. While Advanced_Sector_3442’sStarfieldversion sadly can’t transform into a colossal battle mech, it still earned plenty of praise from fans for recreating the rolling tank form featured in the firstMighty Morphin’season and this year’sOnce and Alwaysreunion special.
ThePower Rangersfranchise has gone through many different seasons and iterations over the past 30 years, but the classicMighty Morphin’era is the one most widely remembered. Several licensed video games have been spawned starring the Rangers of the original generation - from2D side-scrolling beat-em-upsto 2018’sPower Rangers: Battle for the Grid. Likewise, the series has gone on to inspire games likeOverwatchandApex Legends, andStreet Fighterheroes Ryu and Chun-Li famously appeared inBattle for the Gridin their very own Ranger forms.
OtherPower Rangersseasons have had space-themed Zords that would beperfect as customStarfieldships, and Advanced_Sector_3442’s take on the Megazord that started it all does a great job of capturing its iconic dinosaur design. There seems to be no limit to what players can create usingStarfield’s ship customization suite, andthe timing for aPower Rangers-inspired craft couldn’t be better givenCosmic Fury’s premiere on September 29.
Starfieldis available on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
